Well, as you may have guessed from the thread title, I'm the latest person to be bitten by the Supercharger bug!

After reading about all of the numerous conversions being done by various members and the good reports they gave, I decided I wanted some of the action.

So, earlier today I took delivery of a nice box of goodies -

If you're wondering where the kit came from, it was Flecth's second one which he had for sale on here.

Many thanks to Fletch for being so patient, with regards to payment, due to a few complications my end. It all got sorted out eventually though.

I will hopefully be doing all of the conversion myself, so I will keep this thread updated with my progress.

Don't expect any updates for a while though, because I need to save my pennies now before I can buy any of the other bits and pieces.

This thread is probably a bit premature but I just thought I would share my excitement! Hyper

I doubt it, still need to get a proper job after finishing Uni back in July. So funds are going to be pretty tight until I get something sorted.

If you need any help mate closer the time i'm only down the road and have use of a garage if you need any tools (engine lift etc)

At moment i still cant walk but by then i should be able to help

I am still sort of a student (finished Uni back in July), been trying to get a proper job ever since.

I received some inheritance money just before Christmas and I used some of it to buy the SC kit.

I thought I may as well go for it while there was a kit available because it didn't seem likely that there were going to be any more available through Rich for the foreseeable future. I also wasn't sure if I would have the money available again in the future.

So, until I get a steady income from a job progress will be pretty slow, because the rest of the inheritance money has now gone into an ISA/Savings account for when I need it for something a little more sensible than my car. Laugh

Cress, I was a final year Uni' student living away from home when I had my conversion done (the first, so I didn't have a clue how it was gonna turn out either! Laugh

)...it's possible.

I'm not at university but I just wondered how people managed it. That said, most of the students I know are bone-idle c*nts, don't have jobs and subsequently have no money whatsoever.

I should be starting an unpaid degree course in June (in conjunction with Kingston University but not on the University site) and supercharging mine is the last thing on my mind at the moment. I need to sort all these f*cking squeaks, rattles and knocks first. Laugh my ass off

i'm doing something similar to you too, with kingston but in bristol...

i live with students and you're right, most of them are bone idle... lol LOL

I worked full-time as well as doing the full-time degree, sometimes up to 80 hours per week...no help from mummy or daddy here.

Me too

Obviously most of the Lynx ones have been on Chip Wizards dyno, although we've also had some dyno'd independantly.

Results have ranged from 244 to 261 BHP I think, on a range of rolling roads.

If it doesn't make the power you want, you can always get the Dremel out and attack the restrictor ring Laugh

Obviously, at completely your own risk Whistle

Exhaust system is the biggest driver for the output power from our experience.

how do the low boost ones compare to standard for exhaust noise, i remember you saying that after you charged yours the noise became considerably more?

Also which exhausts produced the higher bhp results?
