Cool, just got to make myself up some 1/8 NPT balanking plugs then? LOL

Found my switched live and power feed for the fuel relay, unfortunately I still have an issue as when you turn the key to the accessories position the fuel pump is supposed to prime for 2-3 seconds and then stop until you turn the key to the start position. At the moment when I turn the key to the second click the fuel relay stays on all the time. Small stuff though really and I'm very pleased with the new soundtrack my car has Ninja

Had my final delivery from Jenvey today, trumpets are finally here so as soon as five o'clock rolled around they were bunged straight on! Love

Got my battery box yesterday too, so that went on last night.

Will be recieving an auto-tensioner next week and then I'll be able to get an auxilliary belt on and take her for a spin.

Big grin

A lot of after market ECU's don't support coil on plug and use a wasted spark system instead, hence the need for a different coil pack.

What he said Big grin Omex 600 ECU does not support individual coilpacks but as far as I can see there is no real penalty or benefit from the different coil arrangements (except for the fact that the single coil is slightly lighter, not that I weighed it or anything...Whistle )

could have used the J4R coilpack, that's wasted spark like the one you have, no need to plug leads then Wink

don't forget your battery still needs to be in a sealed box with a vent to the outside.

is it a Jenvey manifold? which filter are you going for?

Should've done a bit of research on here beforehand, I've had so many people tell me what I could've or should've done but it does'nt really matter now it's on there and seems to work

Is the sealed battery box an MOT requirement or is that just for racing cars?

Yep, Jenvey/Longmans manifold and I'll be opting for a Pipercross dome filter, got to order it soon as I can afford it so tht I can get the backplate marked up and drilled, as they come plain from Jenvey.Roll eyes

the battery needs venting regardless, it is letting off poisonous and flammable fumes when charging. it might not fail on the mot but it'd need looking for your own health and safety

I'll have a look for a vent tube then, there is a hole in the car left over from the fixing bolt that held up the spare wheel cage which is now redundant so I could run a vent tube out through that. Cheers Thumbs up

looking good mate.. love the progress... but be careful with cable ties on the strut brace.. engine moves alot more when in load and could rip the fuel line in two... hence peugeout used routing blocks..

Thanks for the pointer, I have moved things around a little more under the bonnet since the last pictures, and there is plenty of slack on the fuel pipes now (especially as I'm on Group N mounts so the engine now moves very little) Thumbs up

You don't wanna ask me! I've just blundered through it and somehow they work!LOL

Seriously though, it's not too bad. What management are you thinking of running? Apparently Wayne can map the standard ECU to run bodies. Does mean a trip up North everytime you need to change something though.

Can Megasquirt give you a base-map or do you have to start totally from scratch with thieir ECU?

That should save you a few quid then if you don't end up having to buy a different coilpack and plugleads.
