No mate, been away all weekend camping on the coast, swimming in the sea, eating ice cream, getting shit-faced and generally not thinking about cars at all, lovely! Big grin

I would like that metallic Ford motorsport grey that people seem to be going for on here, but I expect it will end up rattle-can satin black in the end as fancy paint finishes are not high on the priority list.

have you welded your eyelets to the rear lower stays? or does it just look like it?

why not use harness bars, if so? (so they are horizontal)

No mate, thats an older harness bar I was running before I bought the cage, I have the same harness bar setup as you but it's just not fitted as yet. I'll be on it again tomorrow evening and I'll post up some more pictures then.

Well, not quite, yours fit level and central without attacking 'em with a hammer and an angle grinder LOL

I'm not a fan of Blaze full stop Shut up but a blaze engine in a blaze car will look pretty cool if done right. Ignore all style tips from Chris, as far as I can tell he has no clue when it comes to colour Razz

I might just attack them with a ginder/hammer anyway, just so I don't feel as though I'm missing out LOL

What does Rikky's dash bar look like? They sent me a piece of straight 40mm tube with ends radiused to fit 30mmm tube?? Wtf is that supposed to fit I asked myself?

It looks pretty rusty given it's sat outside the workshop keeping some a-pillars company LOL

No matter which way it was re-bent, tweaked, rolled, it either wouldn't meet the tube at the right angle or ended up with a 5mm gap - it would have gone with a lot of weld but wouldn't have been very strong where it was welded - so I binned it and used an offcut of Clubman 500 we had spare instead and made a similar copy.

However - it was bent in two places, about ~8" off the centreline, not straight.

I'm going to make a new one from a spare length of 45mm CDS I had them send out with the cage for 'eventualities' it does'nt matter if it's not bent outward to follow the curve of the screen is it?

If you can put a bend in it - not necessarily following the window - but just a bend, or pair of bends, so the tube goes forward, then it'll fire the dashboard away from your body in the event of a big shunt.

Ok, I have a friend with a bender that I have access to, and thats an easy one to fit last so it won't hold up the rest of the fitment at all. I'm going to be asking CC for some money back at this rate!

just re-read this, did you mean mine were meant to be in line with the diaganols that run through the rear hoops? they'd be about 6" too short on each bar? because the diagram doesn't show it that way and looks right how you have done it. unless you mean mine is right but only cos you leathered it with your banshee biceps Unsure
