If it's not longer than ~7.2mm you'll be fine.

I like this idea better than 13mm and shaving a few mm off the wheel. Well for cost anyway.

I can do them down to 9mm but the cost of the material goes up with a bang.

Nah, the size of the recess is the same as the normal 10mm ones, but I have to switch to 7075 instead of 6061 to give enough strength for the fatigue cycles.

Bare in that some wheels will fit with no spacers. Cyclones are badly designed for brakes.
