Laugh The car does look good and well finished but i have to agree with the cage comments Yes I guess its up you though, if it was me i would be more concerned about getting the thumbs up from car enthusiasts rather than a 'Bo-sha that cage is blinging bruv' from some of the muppets that turn up at car shows Yes

Been a while since the last update, but things have still been going on.

Engine has been stripped down ready to be cleaned then painted;

heater box refitted with a new matrix in the dash has been put back in.

Engine was sand blasted, acid etch primed and painted;

Exhaust manifold painted with stove enamel, just hope it will stay on! Its proper stuff and expensive but I have never found a paint yet that will stand the heat so we will see.

Inlet manifold and other bits painted;

Hi Carl, high temp paint normally needs to be cured via a cycle of heat in order for it to bond with the surface painted. Im not sure of the exact process but it might be worth looking into as thats perhaps why previous stuff has not worked Dunno

Thats what our woodburner said when we got it Yes no big flames Laugh So at a guess on the car, Run it for 5 mins let it cool then Run it for 10 mins let it cool do it twice and it should be fine.

Our woodburner said no big flames for the first 30 hours use, guess that was for the curing time and it stunk through it

The block is done with black Hammerite, and the silver is just Holts Peugeot silver.
