Update....

The dashboard came out last weekend to fix heater problem, I had a game and a half removing the dash because the Roll Cage was in the wayAngry but eventually it gave way to a large screw driver Devil

I then started to investigate why the Heater does not change from Hot to Cold when you turn the dial, the motor on the bottom of the heater had became detatched from the lever but I have no idea how to put it back together, so I now have to fix that OR I can remove whole heater system and change it for a non-aircon heater system.

In the meantime I shall start spraying the interior.

I will get some pic's posted very soon.

This weekend I have finished scotching the front end which has given me very sore handAngry

Nice one mate, this is coming along well now. I hope to get the same cage early in the new year, but I plan to add a few extra bars etc. in certain areas to increase stiffness.

Looking at your pictures is making me itch to get started! Good luck with the rest of your build. Smile

It's probably the best time to start a project as it gets done before the better weather comesBig grin

The gearknob is not in that good of condition as I will hopefully get a better one once car interior in finished. A carbon fibre one would look so cool Love

Here is an update, over the xmas period I have chopped up my dash to make it lighter and I have cut the door rubbers down e.g the excess rubber that covers the carpet e.t.c.

Pics will be uploaded soon.

I have now decided that I shall not be spraying my interior due to the lack of time and that I dont have the proper tools to do it properly, so I shall be installing the dash in the next couple of days.

I shall then tidy up the remaining welded joints on the roll cage and wire brush the base plates which the roll cage sits on. A couple coats of Red Oxide Primer will be applied to stop any rusting.

I will then take the car over to my sprayer where I shall strip the whole car for him to start work on (I shall be helping so there will be loads of pics) he is going to paint all the interior with a good coat of Ford Mercury Grey. Once we have finished the interior we will mask up the whole interior and then the exterior will be repaired, dents removed, then primed and the final colour will be Mitsi Evo Yellow.

It will be nearing stages of completion then.Big grin

Quick progress update..

I have nearly finished tidying up the welds now and finally removed the stupid last seat belt bracket from the rear quarter, god do they hold on for dear life lol.

Next week hopefully I shall be putting the dash back in and starting the car up so I can take it to the sprayers.
