Just extended all the wiring, and tidied things up a bit.

That was a time consuming job on its own.

I was wondering this - though given the choice between an immaculate white rallye with uprated brakes and a supercharger or a 110K blaze 106 diesel I know what I would want to struggle up the m69 in Wink

So when is this going to be offered as one of the commercial services in your sig? Big grin

That's looking superb. You are an animal. The speed you can get stuff done is impressive.

Mine is due a cambelt soon so I may well be heading up your way to get it done.

I bought the intercooler from ebay America, i think it was origianlly for a rx7 (Rich put me onto which one to get)

Came to a grand total of, wait for it £150 posted, i looked at local places around here and they were at least twice the price.

Seems in America things are produced much cheaper and its a great bit of kit.

How did you get on then, was it like a race all the others or just a best timed lap.

Had another charged six in today and have to say the drive home in my non charged car was very boreing to say the least.

Carl

was just a trackday carl so was non competitive, car went really well though and had an instructor out for 20 mins (who used to drive the gti-6's at silverstone when they had them as track cars) who said it was the fastest 306 he had ever been in LOL which pleased me.
going to croft next on the 21st which is all day (donnington was an evening event) which im looking forward to, i seem to get much better as the day goes on (faster, better lines, smoother laps etc) , donnington was over too quickly for me tbh -enjoyed it though,
just need more speed into the corners the instructor said at donnington, lines were ok and i was fast as fook down the straights LOL :
engine nice and quiet now carl and track tested Thumbs up - nice work

edit, used nearly ¾ of a tank though on track, so car was thirsty on track, economical on way home though

Dave..

edit :- couple of pics

The kit is quite surprisingly, i had a blonde moment ealerlier and started it up with no pipe work on, to say i switched it off quick was an under statement. No pipework meant it revs up like you have your foot flat on the floorShock Shock

Pushed it into the corner nowLOL

carl , nice thread and again you make it look easy, too easy in fact and i am seriously considering getting this stuff. cant help but notice the bumper put on the roof of the miami mate that is a criminal offence in my book, one nudge with your shoulder and screeatch. dont do it ever to that little minter. where can we see this over the summer? going to any sjows at all as it does look nice and the miami looks sweet too.

ps is that blood dripping from your power steering pump? ouch

I have rags on the roof of the 205, i aint that daft. No blood on the pump its power steering fluid, and the stuff is horrible.

I want to take it to some shows etc but want the nice weather, doesnt look like we ar going to get much, the rally will be used as and when i can as a daily driver, taxed it today.

No never polished it, the car is filthy aswell, cheers for the comment guys, if you can afford this kit i highly recommend it.

Carl

You have made this look so easy to do, it makes me wonder if i should have a go myself. How much would you say you have spent on the conversion, if you dont mind me asking?

On and off i bet it has been 16 hours or so, its the old saying, the more time you spend on it the better the end result.

Good progress Carl Cool

Just get that pipework sorted Yes

If you want I can supply pre-fabricated mitred 90 deg. bends as used on my car/all Lynx conversion for about £12 each.

Also have some straight sections of pipe in stock.

Any decent fabricator should be able to TIG it all together.

I'd be interested in your opinion of what we charge to fit these kits - £730 + VAT for the complete conversion, including the supply of all silicone/alloy boost piping and associated clips.

Cheers for the offer of the pipes, left a deposit with a guy yesterday and he has ordered all the bends in etc so on that front i am just waiting now.

The price you charge i would say is very fair, when i get to work i dont stop so if this was at a garage that takes lunch/fag breaks etc it would take longer, also my pipe work is costing me alot of money and to be honest i dont want to disclose the figure as i may have had my pants pulled down.

With this in mind its nice to say here you go and after a few days drive away a fully converted car.

Carl
