Im confused,
Which ones can i upgrade on a Standard Gti-6 setup?, I have a supercharger kit and plan to fit it at some point if that helps.
I have a crank pulley already but i noticed a pulley in the sc kit so wanted to make sure i wasnt looking at something i already have....
Think my aux belts dead so i might as well.

Elliot,

If you have an S/C kit and an alloy crank pulley you should have all of the alloy pullies for the aux belt Smile

Cheers,
Rich

Sorry just saw this response, Cheers for that, Looks like i'll be fitting shiny bits along with the aux belt then Smile

If only i had a charger lieing around Sad

I don't know exactly - but they are around half the weight of the OEM item, between 300-400g.

Cheers
Rich

No worries Smile

When fitting, you do not need to fit the large flat washers that are used to retain the OEM plastic pullies.

Cheers,
Rich

Rich, do you have alloy pulley for a 2.2 16V EW? I loved the alloy one on my VTS and now I would want one for the 407 Coupe.

Tried finding the names/part numbers of the bits i would like on servicebox but no joy.

It's the two pulleys/tensioners (not sure of exact names) that are on the aux belt between the AC and Power Steering pumps.

The lower one is the auto-tensioner

The upper one is a fixed idler

I can supply alloy pulleys for both - £86 delivered for both.

All,

I am getting some more alloy pulleys made up for the Aux Belt Tensioner and Aux Belt Idler as I have been out of stock for a while - please PM me if you're interested. There will be some minor price changes from the prices posted on this thread.

I have the alloy crank pulleys in stock - GTi-6 standard size and under-drive, 8 rib pulleys for C38 S/C conversion, and also HDi crank pulleys.

Cheers
Rich

What size are the under drive pulleys Rich? I'm going to need one soon, but a really little one, about 60mm from memory...

Pete, I will check and some back to you - although they aren't that small I know that.

May have to get a custom one made up Smile

GTi-6 Auto-tensioner pulley - £45

I can offer a complete 'alloy pulley set' which comprises 1 of each of the above for £160

The HDi crank pulley (for all cars with the 2.0 HDi engine) is now £100

All prices include UK mainland delivery via 1st Class Royal Mail

Hi Rich. Might be a dumb question but what is the benefit of these parts? Is it the superior quality and weight saving?
And are these still available?

Rich
when I try to fit the auto tensioner pulley it's binding up on the bracket and bolt. I saw in a previous post you said you have to retain plastic washers from the old one but mine doesn't seem to have any. Is it the very thin covers that hid the ball bearings in the old one that I need to prise out or am I missing other parts?

The auto-tensioner pulley just bolts on to the tensioner - no other parts needed.

You also don't need to use the large washer that is used with the standard plastic pulley. Not using this are you?

PM me some pics if you've got issues still, I can't understand what's happening.

Cheers.

Got mine a while back but haven't fitted it yet. However, are these bare aluminum or are they treated (anodized) to prevent rust?
