Alloy Engine Pullies available for the GTi-6 as a complete set or individually as below.

These are in stock and ready to be sent out

Crankshaft Pulley

- Precision machined from 6082 T6 billet
- Less than half the weight of OE item giving freer revving and effects similar to that of a lightened flywheel
- Single piece construction. OE item is a two-piece bonded assembly, a common problem with these is for the inner/outer sections to slip on the bonded rubber, dislocating the cambelt timing hole. This can lead to catastrophic engine failure if its not identified when changing cambelt. With the alloy pulley you can be assured the timing on your engine is 100% correct.
- Costs little more than replacement Peugeot item but will outlast it many times over.

Guide/Idle Pulley

- Precision machined from 6082 T6 billet
- Replaces Peugeot plastic item - prone to wear and produces noise as a result
- Unlike the Peugeot item the bearing is removable and can be replaced if required
- Fitted with quality rubber sealed bearing
- Stronger and more durable the plastic Peugeot pulley
- Cost is comparable to standard item
- Will fix whines/other noises coming from aux. belt area due to worn pulley/bearing

Auto Tensioner Pulley

- Precision machined from 6082 T6 billet
- Replaces Peugeot plastic item - prone to wear and produces noise as a result
- Unlike the Peugeot item the bearing is removable and can be replaced if required
- Fitted with quality rubber sealed bearing
- Stronger and more durable the plastic Peugeot pulley
- Cost is comparable to standard item
- Will fix whines/other noises coming from aux. belt area due to worn pulley/bearing

Prices

Crankshaft Pulley £87.50
Guide/Idle Pulley £41
Auto Tensioner Pulley £45

Complete set - 1 of each £140

Would it be possible to get the main pulley with the correct mounting fitment for an early s16?

PM Miles off here - he was interested in these also - and was going to send me a sample for costing.

Its not something I will be selling/financing - I said to Miles I would have to do a minimum batch quantity which he would have to buy and sell through his firm [Pug Racing].

Alternatively, if you have a sample, and don't mind buying a batch to sell on, we could go down that route...

The Mi16 and S16 ones are very slightly different in design, I'll have to see if they fit each other when I've got a engine on a stand.
Pulley will be on route tomorrow Rich

Rikky that tensiones is indeed different to the 6, its the same as Non a/c td's which is about £70 from peugeot or £36 from GSF Big grin

one thing to mention Rich_w, could you make them with slightly bigger bearings? I just wonder if the smaller diameter bearings are up to the number of rotations ans speeds involved here!

It's not possible to use bigger bearings, or they won't fit on the standard mounting bosses.

What I have done however, is increase the size of the smallest pulley [idle pulley] by 10mm odd to reduce the speed/wear Yes

The bearings should be good for circa 20K RPM, and they will probably hit 12K RPM at the most [idle pulley is 75mm, crank pulley is 127mm for the purposes of calculations] so its all good Cool

pic i took tonight:

http://www.rikky.net/upload/tensioners.jpg

although the others all look different, i'm wondering if your auto tensioner one will possibly fit the s16 but i will take proper measurements tomorrow and come back to you. i don't even know how it is fitted to the tensioner plate - looks pressed on or something.. no bolt to remove it other than a bolt to remove the whole assembly itself [whole arm]

looks ribbed in the pic but it isn't..

Thumbs up

edit> just read welshpug's post about them being different.. will probably have to replace with standard item if unsure Doh
