Hi,

Nothing special needed to wire them in, I actually used the wiring for the rear heated screen for mine. Sprint car so why would be looking out the back Smile

Relay or high amp switch is all you need.

So another day on the car,
First off I refitted the servo, took it off because i thought the gromit goes through the bulk head, but it doesnt it goes through the sound deadening.
But all done after a little swearing

then got the steering column refitted, this was a lot easier, but the big rubber gromit is a bit fiddley to get in but all sorted.
So then set about cutting down the loom from the dash, I plugged in all the stuff from the dash and heater and stuff, I then cut off the ones for the heaters radio etc.

I have now decided to run the fuel pipes through the cab as I think it will be so much easier and will not have the problem of getting round the rear beam.

but cant finish running them until I remove all the sound deadening off the floor, so set about doing that, I got the drivers footwell and a bit of the rear footwell done but the light beat me, my weapon of choice was a chissel and it worked a treat.

Need to get a load done tomorrow as cant do any over the weekend

what you should do is pull the entire loom from inside out, and lay it all out and locate the plugs that aren't needed or used anymore, and remove them spade terminals from the plugs and trace them back as far as you can. i have done this with all of mien and have cut the loom down about 75% and it's not got anything 'chopped off' as such, but properly isolated and removed from each end. you'll save a lot more time finding what's not needed this way and also save more weight!

every unused wire from my car is sat in a box in the garage and there's about 30kg, and more has been removed since

everything basically electrical!

alarm has gone, central locking all gone, whole door and electric window loom, electric mirror loom, all the stuff running to the fusebox, all speaker wiring and headunit wiring, all rear wiper and heated windscreen electrics, all interior unused wiring plugs near the rear quarter card, all foglight wiring. my entire interior wiring loom is fuel pump and rear light cluster, nothing else atall. am in the process of removing the abs and rerouting brake pipes inside, so all the abs loom from the engine bay/fusebox and underneath the car has gone, including abs unit obviously [and all the f*cking brake pipe].. loads more tbh

depends where you're using the car i guess, i've got no intention of using mine on the road

They weigh bugger all, the wireing loom & switch weighs more than the blower unit.

The bonus these have over a heated screen is that they will put some heat into the car on a cold morning.

Cool

Remember that little fuel incident you had a few weeks back? You'll have another. if your involved in an accident, or run off on the track onto gravel. Your hose runs the risk of getting trapped and splitting. Ripping the hose and spraying fuel everywhere when it rips on the metal.
Bulkhead connectors SHOULD be used whenever transporting any fluid through the car.
But hey, it's your car.
