Hi,

Heated screens are laminated glass and will pass an MOT, seriosly it's the only way to get a reliably clear screen.

I was going to say. You must be able to get road legal ones as a lot of cars have/had them from the factory, including my dad's old Mondeo. Wink

So after the weekend Finished the looms off, and I do have to say a complete b*tch to do, But they are all done and I am well chuffed, found a few wires damaged where the door opens and closes, but with the aid of my soldering iron all done.
Here are the door ones now

Then the one with the fuel pump etc

and the other one too, which does the alarm and central locking

Wont be fitting them until the cage is fitted in the new year.
My metal supplier cant get any stainless tube until the new year, so bit stuffed at the moment, dont suppose anyone has some 10mm od,8mm od and 6mmod stainless tube laying around, about 12 inches of each

That looks better mate, you so should've posted a before and after pic of your loom, that would scare people off auto electrics for good!

i have pics of before and afters of the loom layed out on my garage floor but i've not saved anything to be honest, i'll find thge pics tomorrow. my entire inside loom from the red/brown plugs at the dash goes down, to the handbrake sensor, then further back to the fuel pump feed, and then right back to the lights, nothing else atall. the fuel pump wire is on its own wire and is the red plug behind the dash so i am presuming pulling this with the car running would result in the fuel supply cutting out. everything else on the loom has been unclipped from the plugs and stripped right back and traced to the opposite ends and removed

i have been very careful but no doubt one thing that has been removed is vital and will cause a load of problems when i come to fire it up but i'll cross that when i come to it!

I should of posted the half way that would scare people.
The wire on its own rikky, is it the blue one you are talking about? If it is on that plug is a thick red wire, looks like it powers something in the rear, any idea what?

thick red wire is to do with the fuel pump and runs right to a red plug at the dash. the brown plug at the dash has the loom for the lights and the handbrake light sensor etc

it's all back together now so can't really check colours etc at moment
