So today did a load more work.

Under sealed the back under the boot and the front wheel arches, its horrible stuff and I got covered in shit under the car

sexy aye

fitted the solid mounts to the beam

then fitted it to the car, was a bit of a pain

then fitted my roller bearings to me sub frame

took a bit of fiddling as the powder coating made it not line up properly, but me an jim fixed it

then fitted it to the car and fitted the wiring loom back in

Can some one tell me is this right?

its slowly looking like a car again

Doesn't the front ARB need to go in with the subframe?

Chris, seeing as you have the same batch roller bearing wishbone bushes too, do you find the nipple sits just on the edge of the subframe, too close to be able to get a grease gun on it without loosening the bush?

Mine is only just on the edge, I was thinking about grinding a small amount off the subframe so that I could get to the nipple easier in future, is that wise at all Dunno

I am going to have to do that anyways as the sub frame is seam welded and its only got a mil gap there, unless i can get a really thin gun

Spent another day on the car today and i am absolutly knackered, done loads, but didnt really look like it if that makes sence.

I painted the Servo as that looked a bit shit, after I did that I installed all the brake pipes in to the ABS pump and master cyinder, its a right pain to get them to line up propely and had to re flare one end of one pipe with a new nut as old one was fubered, a lot harder to flare the steel pipes than the copper ones on the rear

also finished bolting and screwing the loom in place and a few other engine bits.

Painted some brackets and the vacumm hose and bracket, also the gearbox mount

its really starting to get there now few more bits to do to the engine, then will refit the trailing arms etc.

i had this problem as well, think its down to the lip on the subframe being bigger on some cars Dunno , i got over it by changing the grease nipples to 45 degree ones, grease gun goes on easy now

Dave..
