ive passed two mots with out any at two different test centres
but then again the phs1 has diferent markings on it which say you dont need side repeters on the car.

I see you have the same rust problem as me underneath the radiator. Pugs useless sticker and non primed area down there is just perfect for rust formation. Ive just sanded it all off and etched it and primed it and finished off the spraying today, looks well now, tempted to re spray the whole engine bay now though ive got the bug but im gonna just settle for a good polish and wax. now might be the time to replace the brake servo as well mate. think im going to enquire about price at pug. They should last the life of car but im not taking any chances. |

I am going to get the shit ripped out of me for this, but I have a set of mirrors with built in side repeaters ready to go on so will keep it legal and yes they are of a german car company style.I am just going to paint the servo it looks in great condition you will get raped on it from pug. One question I have got is can you get replacement "O" ring for the master cylinder. Aparently they rust there because of the condensation from the air con pipes, none of the screws cam out they all snapped so drilled them all out. |

Most motor factors should be able to get you a replacement seal for the master cylinder ________________________________________ - Bespoke rollcages/additions/adjustments. Quick update on what I got done this week. I got the power steering, alternator bracket cut down, expertly done by Jim (daveyboy) in exchange for beer, which is always a bonusbefore After It still needs painting, but the weather was so shit this weekend will have to wait for a drier day. also fitted my roller bearings ready to go back on. and got my aux pully on, and not fowling. Was hoping to get my subframe seam welded and my mount done, but due to weather and getting my welder absolutly off his face friday night, loooks like will be next week end now |

Looking very good indeed, looks like the angle grinder will be coming out then!Since a couple of people have asked "what about the rest of us?", Im going to be putting a website together just to showcase my project and keep all my uni mates updated, and also to document a 1000 mile round trip me and a mate will be doing round the country to run the engine in. ________________________________________ Plum306 GTi6 V reg China Blue 106 GTi Y reg Sundance Yellow |

Good work there mate, how is all this work going to affect your insurance? I suspect the premium will go up quite a lot. ________________________________________ There,s a man with a mullet going mad with a mallet in Millets. |

To be honest I have not even considered the insurance premium yet, but will not be running full power on the road, will fit a reducer ring to keep insurance round, as for the block timing etc, I am a tad worried about putting the head and setting timing, but I am sure it will work out fine.Next job is seam weld sub frame and engine mount then get the engine bay sprayed |
