There must be a lot of money in this car. Interesting updates Chris, you got an ETA, ie is it gonna be up and running in 2010?

I hope so, but its all expensive parts to buy now.

With the wheels I spent over a grand this month.

Once the cage is in and the car is painted will look a lot better.

Look what I got today

Big grin

Had Dave over again today, and we got more prep done on the doors, but I forgot to take any pics.
Sad

I tried to sort out a repair on the rear, by removing the filler and trying to push the dent out, its a right pain as access to the rear of the panel is rubbish, but I have a huge spanner and that is nice and flat and knocked it out pretty well.

Its now got filler in and primer on, but will need more work doing on it, forgot more pics.

Thanks Andy, hopefully getting it done sometime this decade LOL

I didnt finish work til gone 1am last night and was almost 3 when i got home, so didnt do anything on the car today.

But did order more parts today.

Paid for my PTFE gasket, another one for my shelf.
A rear bumper
A Fibreglass tailgate from NUR (have to pay for this monday)
and an oil catch tank and some aerocatches.

So I now have everything to get the out side of the car sorted, just need my body work man to get his arse in gear and get round here.

The cage will be on hold this month as the above is over 400 quids worth, but will keep 200 quid in hand and order the cage at the end of the month

Cheers Chris.

How are you planning on mounting it? original hinges or using pins?

I have gone for internals so I can use the hinges and a gas strut.

The bottom will be fixed with aerocatches like the bonnet will be.

Jim (daveyboy) seems to think that you can pin the top 2, but I dont think so.

yeah I'm hoping to buy an fg tailgate at some point but was wondering how to mount it, was unsure if pins would work in the top.

Probably just go down the same route as you Thumbs up

Be interested to see how they compare

Not too late for anyone else to jump in and take advantage of the multiple order price by the way.
