The kit is designed for GTi-6/Rallye (XU10J4RS) and XSi 16V (XU10J4).
It is designed for use with the ingenious Rotrex C30 series superchargers.
Power gains to 250-400 BHP are possible, depending on engine specification and boost pressure.
250BHP is achievable on a standard engine, for more than this low compression forged pistons are required.
The kit is designed to retain the standard Magneti Marelli 1AP.10 engine management system, so full factory level diagnostics are achievable.
The kit is designed to work on non air-con cars, so you may have to sacrifice your air-con for this. You can retain the air-con by using an electric power steering (EPAS) pump from the 106 or Saxo though. This is outside the scope of my kit, and therefore I can't supply any parts for this aspect of the conversion.
The Kit, as it stands, contains the following items:
Shortened inlet manifold
Fabricated from aluminium. Complete with take-off for fuel pressure regulator and brake servo vacuum hoses.
It comes with an anodised finish - choice of colours available.
Inlet and Throttle assembly
This refers to the components between the inlet of the supercharger, and the air filter. See below for detail of individual components.
MAP Sensor/ICV Housing Block
This is the large square aluminium block attached to the inlet of the supercharger. All parts are milled from solid 6082 T6 alloy billet. It is drilled/tapped to mount the sensors above (MAP - Manifold Absolute Pressure and ICV - Idle Control Valve). It is an interference fit on the supercharger compressor housing, the other end is drilled/tapped to mate to the GTi-6 throttle body.
The new design will be machined from two pieces of alloy billet, which will bolt together using the same bolt-hole-pattern as the throttle body. The whole assembly and throttle body will be held together by the same 4 bolts making assembly and removal easy. The purpose for manufacturing the housing in two pieces is to enable it to act as a carrier for inlet reducer rings, see below.
All fastenings to be included.
Inlet Reducer Rings
This is how you control the power and boost of your car, and is a much better method than changing the pulley. The pullies are
