I WOULD STRONGLY ADVISE THAT YOU THINK HARD BEFORE PARTING WITH ANY CASH TO DARREN SPOONER, OWNER OF SPOOX. WE COMMISIONED HIM IN DEC 23 TO BUILD OUR SON A NEW BUILD JUNIOR SALOON SAXO. WITHIN DAYS HE STARTED TO CALL AND PESTER, CLAIMING MORE AND MORE WORK WAS NEEDED. CLAIMED HE DID 3.5 WEEKS OF WELDING, ACTUALLY MORE LIKE 2 DAYS. A FEW BITS OF HIS WORK WAS GOOD, BUT THEN, AS HE SAID, HE WAS HAVING PERSONEL ISSUES. DARREN REFUSED TO WORK ON THE CAR UNLESS WE PAID HIM ADDITIONAL MONEY. THIS JUST KEPT HAPPENING. A GUY CALLED CRAIG STARTED WITH HIM AND THINGS STARTED LOOKING UP. I DONT THINK CRAIG COULD WORK WITH DARREN AND HE SOON LEFT. ( MESSAGE ME CRAIG IF YOU WANT SOME WORK ) THE OFFICE GIRLS AT SPOOXS ARE GREAT AND I FEEL THEIR PAIN. AFTER 5 AND A HALF MONTHS I DECIDED TO COLLECT THE CAR, BUT DARREN HAD MADE US PAY HIM £27K, WHICH I BORROWED AND AM NOW IN MASSIVE DEPT, TO COLLECT THE CAR. WHAT A PIECE OF CRAP!!!!!! TOOK IT STRAIGHT TO ONE OF THE TOP RACE CAR BUILDERS IN THE UK. ALTHOUGH THEY COULDNT BELIEVE THE POOR QUALITY OF WORKMANSHIP AND ILLIGAL RACE PARTS USED, THE MOST WORRYING THIS WAS THE PETROL PIPE EXITING RIGHT NEXT TO THE STEERING RACK. ON FULL RIGHT LOCK, THIS FRACTRURED. LUCKILY WE HAD NOT MOVED AND DRY TESTED, AS THIS WOULD HAVE RESULTED IN A FIRE BALL.
I MY OPINION, DO NOT TRUST DARREN SPOONER OF SPOOX.......................... IMAGES AND VIDEOS OF HIS WORK AVAILABLE IF YOU PERSONEL MESSAGE ME

Sounds like nightmare!!

There are a high number of disgruntled members on here who also appear to not had the best experience with Spoox. I considered them too for some engine tuning, but given the bad reviews I’ve read online (not just Peugeot owners), I decided against using them. Waiting my turn to get in to the busy Pug1Off workshop.

Hope you are able to recover some of your financial loss!

I've got photographic evidence of an axle they built someone, that then came to me to be done properly

How can Spoox motorsport and Darren Spooner keep trading like this ? There are plenty of other genuine Citreon / Peugeot specialists out there without getting ripped off
