Hi All
Looking for a bit of advice on my GTI Project, I want to run a white motorsport themed wheel ideally the Speedline 2120 in a 16" size, I can't get a 6.5 in a direct fit offset, only can get 10 or 25, and I don't like the idea of spacers,

Demon Tweeks offer it in 7x16 in ET16 which would suit but will a 7" wheel rub, Car is lowered 30mm at the front and about 25mm at the rear, would a 205/45 tyre make the rubbing worse, a 195 seems a bit narrow for a 7" wheel,

I can get a custom made Braid wheel in 6.5x16 with et15 offset but I am not crazy about the design of them,
Anyone able to shine some light on this as it's been playing on my mind since I bought the car back in April,

I'm not interested in the 15 v's 16 debate car will likely never see a track and will only be driven on the odd weekend for a blast across a B road to relive my youth,

Thanks
Trevor

I run a 205/45 tyre on 16" Team Dynamics 1.2s without rubbing issues. That said, I don't run the inner arches so that may give me a bit more space

If it is for road use, I would keep the inner arches as otherwise a massive rust patch will form. That patch will dissolve over time leaving a hole where the rear seatbelts should be fitted.

@demondriverdan, for you it is your track car, right?

Maybe pro1.2s are not to your liking ?....they do 100% direct fit mo Spigots etc etc if you order them but you won’t get them for 4-6months....like that Thumbs up

I sold a set of 16s and nothing rubbed with liners and 205/50/16s

The Mo is a cool wheel too, we used to run the flat face one in 16" on our old Grp A 306 and it looked mint, must try to dig out a pic later,
