After the demise of my Diablo track car project, I decided to get a rolling project from Ryan (pug-306) rather than build up from a bare shell. And here it is.

I’ve got a satchshift to fit and a phase 2 xsara rack also got a xsara rear beam with 21mm torsion bars and hybrid arb. Some of this will probably be for next winter has I’d like to get it out on track this year.

Would love to see the satchshift when you’ve got it fitted would like one for mine but not convinced it will fit with my manifold.

Do love that bonnet Smile

I got Mine 2nd hand and it’s the motor sport edition so it gets welded in place, but from what I can make out it s all inside the car so shouldn’t have the issues with the exhaust tunnel getting hot from removing the heat Shields. The downside I don’t have a clue how it fits lol

Chris i sold one m8 :....If it’s the full race Satchell shift your aware you can’t run any heater and other mods are needed on the outside of the box ?....much better but extra big job upto the ones we all use ?

The car looks great and I’m glad your getting out now m8 Thumbs up

I’ve got a 4 branch manifold would this be a engine out job or could I fit it with the engine in, I’m currently trying to build a spare front subframe up with the vts rack would I be able to fit it with the engine in place but with the subframe off ? Also if I brought the satchshift that they sell now would it work with this manifold does anyone know ?

It’s not a engine out Chris ...I’ve found not much is with advice from lots of great people on here .....a two post type ramp imakes everything so much easier m8 ...

Welshpug /Mei seems to do anything off the floor ?...but I’m not sure if he ever got round to fitting his off the floor ?????

Lots of Manifolds are really tight for Satchell heater in one...my Maniflow 4/2/1 system is mms Away m8 ...Satchell Gearkit For Heater In is a fiddly one to fit ...a swear a lot pain in the ass job but a great upgrade my friend....did all mine without removing much apart from the very bottom of the plastic heater surround ....hero me ...NOT !!!

Manifolds are a (hopefully) it should but no guarantee m8 ..it’s a try it to be 110% ....it looks better shape than my crazy Maniflow Thumbs up

It’s either engine out or subframe out. I’ll be pulling my engine out when I fit mine although with only the bear minimum in the engine bay it’s not a big job at all but if you’ve got a rack to fit then subframe out seems the obvious choice

I would keep the subframe in with the rack Michael ....my manifold is a playing card away from my rack union joint ?....that and the Satchell bar

Manifold although it’s a very long 4-2-1 that takes place of decat also , I will be fitting my other engine at same time when I do though when i finish it that is actually come to think of it isn’t it your old engine I have lol

Once I’ve done that I’ll look towards a satchshift as miss the one from my 205 as was without doubt one if the best bits of the car, but seeing all the horror stories of them hitting manifolds pit me off a little although everything can be adapted to fit I guess.

A little tap-of a ball end hammer on my manifold sorted my issue out LOL

Upto silly OTT stuff I’m doing now Fitting a Satchell shift is straight forward Crazy

I’m perfectly capable to fit a satchshift it’s not difficult to fit - it’s the fact it’s likely to foul the manifold that puts it a lot further down my todo list well that and cash lol.

I tried a Satchshift and a Maniflow (I think) 4-2-1 and it didn't fit, Satchshift fouled the manifold so I switched back to a standard manifold

Cheers dan not sure what manifold Mine is looks quite compact compared to others I’ve seen. If there’s a issue I’ll stick with the satchshift

From what I remember mine was a bit longer than yours. It wasn't even a close cut thing, the Satchshift wouldn't get close to 5th or 6th!
