After I turn the ignition off and leave the car I've been hearing a strange noise that sounds like the fuel pump priming, or a washer pump - it's definitely coming from under the rear seat on the drivers side. It happens 2 or 3 times with a gap of about 2 minutes between. The noise lasts for about a second. Any ideas how to start tracing where the fault is? Or is there a common place to check? I'm guessing there's a wire shorting out somewhere? Electrics really aren't my thing! |

I'm pretty sure that's a standard thing on the GTi6 / Rallye, mine used to do it as well________________________________________ Rallye Race Car |

Mine does that, too. Sometimes more than once. Maybe even everytime but I don't bother - seems normal on a 6! I guess it's something to do with the tank purge valve. |

Good to know it's not just me! I thought I had a mouse making a home in a wheel arch at first! |
