My clutch pedal is very low on the 306, it works fine but only pushes a few intches, you can pull it up by hand to the correct position but it then just goes back to resting in the lower position once pressed again. Is this a common issue? Anyone know what the fix is? Cheers |

Had something similar but not 100% the same & it was the Clutch automatic adjustment system built into the clutch cable ...I replaced the clutch cable & it instantly sorted it ...could be a few things though ?I run a completely different clutch & arm & now don't have a ajuster built in anymore |

Yep, clutch cable.The adjuster dries out and gets stuck over time. ________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone |

prying the plastic clip through the aircon pipes and finding the little hole for it to feed in through the bulkhead is a pig of a job!Tie some string to the old part that clips onto the peddle before pulling it through! this should help you locate where it's to go once the old one has been removed ________________________________________ Proud Member of the ASTOR Owners Club |

I'll be tackling this job tomorrow if the weathers okay, got the clutch cable for £22 off car parts for less, hoping it's not too painful to fit. ________________________________________ 98 Blaze 6 - Current |

Could also be some of the fingers in the clutch plate have broken. Had the same on my rallye, changed the cable but no difference until it failed completely shortly after________________________________________ Nothing to see here |
