So since I last owned this car I have start / Finished University, got a career job for 2/3 years, moved to London and now moved to Cardiff.

As I now have a driveway, spare cash and unfinished business with this beast - I decided to grab this back from Rich (PugPlus). I paid alot less (I mean alot less) for the V6 this time, but it does need some TLC.

Also just want to say, I'm not looking to make money from this - but purely turn it into a track/road car. Thumbs up

So after a couple of hours of ownership she looked like this. Needing a new rad was high priority as it had a small leak and didn't cool efficiently:

New Nissens rad came within 24 hours:

After some negotiating with some wiring, the rad now sits on the standard mounts and sits straight now. So after bleeding the system, she finally has a new rad which will help with cooling. It does need a second fan, so thats next on the list now.

Your engine looks a little more forward than mine. Also you only running a single fan ?

single fan will be fine, but I would get an oil cooler on it.

So most of my weekend looked like this:

Cold, wet, outside in the raining plumbing in a 2nd 220w highspeed 12" rad fan and also a switch.

Now the car cools quickly by having a powerful 2nd fan.

Also sorted out the loom and re-soldered some of the connectors - Great job done and now I have piece of mind the electrics are A1.

Re-greased and put in new gaiters all round:

Drained the gearbox and had just under 2L of fresh gearbox oil put back in.

*Also PugPlus provided me with a new ball joint as the D/S one is going .... and true to his reputation the ball joint is the wrong one Big grin

- never the less I had a spare so used that instead.

So today was very productive:

I changed:

- Ball Joints
- Tie Rods
- D/S Drop Link

Also rubbed down and cleaned both front arches and then went over it with under seal, so now the arches are looking spot on.

Looks quite tidy in the arches, one of the cleaner Rallyes probably.

Feels like the initial hard work is starting to pay off ! - Very chuffed and relieved !!!

Advisories include:

Rear Disks and pads
Rear number plate light bulb
Slight leak in exhaust between cat and middle pipe (New O ring needed)

So i've lost all momentum and time for this with buying a new house and work....

I'm not sure what to do with this now as i've spent so much time/money to get this on the road and running, but now I dont have the time to enjoy it....

Do I, garage it until summer next year or move it on to somebody that will enjoy this ???

We all go through stages like this. After all you've been through with it, garage it until summer then carry on with it then. Otherwise you'll regret selling it like you did last time.

I've had my Rallye through four job changes, a total career change, three house moves, the birth of two children and an ongoing house refurb (including a forthcoming garage build so I can work on it at home).
