I've got one on my car. One of the best mods for the car I think.

Agree great mod, but save yourself a titanic ball ache and go for a Phase1, i didnt, the Phase2 isnt as direct a fit as the phase 1 and is a bas**rd pain in the arse

I've got a Phase 2 rack on my car - the only fitment difference is the hose connections are different. The P2 has a plate with a bolt to connect and secure the hoses to the rack, instead of the P1 threaded hose connectors that are the same as a 306. If you have the correct hose it is fine.

I have to go against the grain here and say dont do it! At one time I had both a GTI6 fitted with a 2.4 rack (Matts above) and a Rallye on the standard rack and i much preferred standard when driven back to back. I felt the quicker rack lost a lot of the steerings delicacy, and it felt as though it darted into the corner instead of being eased into it. I appreciate its all subjective but thought Id add my 2p's worth.

Having just fitted a ph1 rack to my btcc 306 I can confirm they are heavy to use without ps but excellent on track. My car does have considerably more camber than most other 306s though so that will make it heavier again.
