Ok so some weeks back some one was refurbing knobs cant remember who so as said at the time will have a go myself
And produced this as a first
This is still wet n not glued also the top is not fitted just pushed in till the pig skin drys
I quite like this colour but want to try others so looking for leather larp with 0.5 to 1mm thickness in what ever colour is going
Hoping if all goes well to offer a service for repair or sell kits to do your own with instruction
Any leather supply lead would be appreciated

That looks cracking. How much for a black one to get referbed? My ones getting tatty and could do with a spruce up.

That my friend will entirely depend on how much i can source the material for (leather larp ) its usually expensive not silly money but not cheap i got this blue for a tenner Shock so if i can get some black the same £20 plus a little postage

Gnrlee where did you source your hide i need some

What im going to do to start is set some up made n ready ( once perfected the construction ) and just try a quick turn around service

E.g once your knob pops through the old door flap as it where with payment,
Is send out a refurbed one within a day or two knobs will need ro be complete including the small bottom ring for the leather to seat correctly as i have no spare rings i have spare silver tops in very limited supply so if required can re cap at extra cost

Will be perfecting over the nex two weeks testing with glues and sealing compounds for the best results and then ill return with a price list
Should be as previously mentioned

If anyone has spare parts all will be welcome cash paid of course

Yarp i make archery quivers arm guards belts coin purses
And various other bits

I usually make rough larp examples coated with neats foot for sealing and formed using soak n sealing methods shaping as the leather drys n hardens

Have only done dainty leather work a few times with things like watch straps n bracelets for craft n medieval fair type thing's

Most has the same principles but these will require a touch more finess with regards to hardeninng and finish
They need to last and survive the gripping of the knods

Possibly barry i like to think a bit of barry is available
Cheers again G

Nappa is reference to usually young skin from infant animals or soft skin with a smooth finish
