As a few of you know I put up a wanted ad for a Supercharged Gti 6 a week ago and Yesterday i took delivery of this beauty!

Only 77,900 miles on the clock
cambelt is due and came with kit and everything in the boot ready to do so that's booked in for 4th of May

Today i have been busy helping my friend strip parts off his old car to put it all in a shell he has bought for track. on there he had some Bilstein B6s with H&R springs which have covered at most 800 miles but now he wants coilovers he also had some very low mileage hubs on there which had some brand new bearings pressed in less than 500 miles ago and also got my billet crank pulley off my old Agean engine

Only you Ash. Thanks for the box of parts in the boot but have thrown away the crap oil filter with no valve and replaced with a genuine pug one and also the s**tty P bushes you bought and have also bought and used genuine Peugeot ones. Thought you would have known what you were doing but you bought terrible parts Dunno

You don't want the P bushes mate they are s**t. They are not genuine ones otherwise I would have used them ash, my friend bought exactly same ones ash and he ripped them apart in 2 weeks with a standard engine. If they genuine berlingo ones they would have been worth it but the aftermarket ones are w**k

So today I have been busy with my friend (with the beard) again. The only one problem with buying a low mileage old car is that apart from cambelt and service nothing has ever really been changed so everything is a b**ch to undo, all bolts rusted or seized.
Today I took of the suspension and fitted some Bilstein B6s low mileage hubs with new bearings, new top mounts, new track rod ends, genuine P bushes, anti roll bar links and changed the oil.

Couldn't finish it today because I need some new ball joints 18mm long so will buy some tomorrow and fit them after work

So little update.... Fitted my miles solid gear linkages and strut brace the other morning

Also fitted my obd short shift, I fit mine from inside the car on some long bolts so that you can have a shorter shift but with the gear knob still at the standard height , I fit it inside so it does not hit the exhaust

Think I'm taking up too much space with 3 6's in the car park (all different shades of blue)

Yesterday I went to see Carl Chambers and had him do my cambelt and fit my Rich W billet crank pulley at the same time, water pump with coolant service, change the rear beam mounts, and bleed the breaks as the rear beam would not come apart so I will be using my rebuilt one off the Agean.
