The car looks great. A much better all-rounder than the SC 6, I'm sure. Having finally resurrected my 306 last weekend and having spent the last 4 years driving a wonderful Swedish barge, the 6 feels bloody dated, old and simple! LOL

Nail.Head

As great as the 306 is,the Megane feels miles ahead of it on comfort and build quality.

Plus it's just an epic colour!

I've been driving my cooper s around for 2 months got in the 306 the other day and it just felt so dated to drive. The driving position always seems odd in a 306 if you get used to another car

Worst parts of a 306 are the dashboard and seats are too high up.

The 306 is without a doubt old, i certainly couldnt use as a daily, but as a track car its such great fun when you can afford to make fundamental changes to the seating position for example

Haha Laugh

I still Love the 306 and always will do. They are great cars but just dont have that modern feel about them any longer and its about i time I had a change after 10 years of on/off ownership!

No doubt I will buy one in the future to restore as I see them as the 205 of my generation and would love one as a classic car

I don't drive mine every day anymore thankfully. I just look at it out of the window while it's raining and wish that the weather would improve so that I could go and fix it. Laugh my ass off

Like you said Ash & you should know ...The 306 is dated for a daily drive ..I'm sure a few would disagree but maybe they are in denial LOL
My m8 Andrew has one in boring dark Blackish col ...
Your young & can just get away with that colour it's a lovely smooth drive but very quick Thumbs up

Mines turned into a 95% track toy now & it's the best place for it really it's going to be terrible to drive on the roads but it shocked loads of new more modern cars before ...god knows what it's going to do now LOL
Would love a sleeper 205 must admit ...

Love your car & im pleased for you Ash

Don't spend to much on it Ash ...remember you get fed up quickly Razz

PS I still owe you some dosh ?

TBH its such a good car out of the box unless im spending thousands its not gonna be much better so its just a case of replacing things if/when they break and regular maintaince Thumbs up

So not much has happened in the last few weeks except driving and just enjoying it.

Something I've never been a fan of is the ride height so I've purchased some Cooksport lowering springs which kinda escalated into all new Genuine Renault parts LOL

Not much has happened with the megane recently.

Had the lightened SMF and R26R clutch fitted along with a new cambelt/waterpump etc last month so that made the wallet a fair bit lighter.

Only mod really is a set of new number plates as I wanted the 'RS' and '07' spaced out

Also after a 6 hour round trip I have some Recaro Sportster CS seats from a Clio R27 to fit!
