Yeah you'll need some different injectors, the charger and an ecu mapped for low boost. You'll also need an intercooler and pipework too. I've not re-read midlife's thread for a while to see what's included but I didn't see them in any of the pictures when having a quick scan. You'd have to check with midlife or richw about anything else you'd need. The Lynx kit is a good bit of proven kit if you want some extra power with minimal fuss. My life would have been much easier and cheaper if I'd decided to go down that route ________________________________________ Goldie the track car. |

I can supply anything you need - I have some new kits in stock that I could do with shifting, so can do you a good deal on a new kit if that would be of interest. In summary, the parts you need are: - Lynx S/C fitting kit - Rotrex C30-94 S/C with complete oil circuit and oil cooler - Intercooler - Boost pipework, connectors and clamps - Low boost injectors - ECU with Lynx low boost software - SPAL slim line fans × 2 - Decent oil - NGK BKR7EIX spark plugs I think that's it from memory. Chris, I have messaged you.A full low-boost conversion (DIY kit) at todays prices is around £3,800 depending on final specification. I can do a kit cheaper than this for someone with the cash to spend, as I have some kit parts in stock I could do with clearing. thanks for the help peoplemy cheap track toy has already cost more than expected but I knew that was gonna happen anyway I don't think I can justify spending that much to be fair although it's always nice buying new! I will prob have to hang on for a second hand kit or it's going to get silly would not be out of the question if it was my main track car but it's not although just as much fun to drive i am so impressed with the gti6 it's unreal just a bit underpowered where 250bhp would be superb! I will have to dream I guess for now. some great advice here to help me think about what to do :-) |

The cheapest way to come across a s/c setup would probably be to buy a supercharged gti6 for a reasonable price, remove all the 'charger parts returning the car to standard to sell on, then putting all the 'charger bits on your track car. Shouldnt cost too much at all if you fall lucky doing it that way.________________________________________ Goldie the track car. |
