Well.
They haven't worked properly for a very long time.
But i was running them pikey style with the ac switch and bridged pins 1+3

However after about 4 years that has stopped working. I bave re done the cable bridging.
No luck.


I assume there is something more fundemental going on.
Neither fans work when the ac switch is on. And the dont work when i pull the temperature sensors either.

Where should i begin?

Relays in the front cowling two green one black start with the black one Smile

Behind the front center plastic just remove it triangular box underneath

Careful on removal the clips will snap two screw holes can be drilled in the obvious spot in the cover to resecure

Where can you get new ones. I remember peugeot wanting 80 for all 3.....

no, pull them out and check what type you need, switching 5 pin or on-off 4 pin, maplins and the like do them cheap.

check the fans actualy work
check the fuses to there are many that control the fans

I had intermittant to non-functioning fans for a long time and eventually found that it was a very poor connection at the rear of one motor. As said, check they actually work with 12v at the terminals first. They're exposed to road salt and water because they're in front of the rad-pack, instead of behind it as on most other cars.

My car was particularly salted the other day after it rained and I did a run up the m4
