I follow this, but don’t comment for the simple fact I’m lost for words the amount of thought and technicality that has gone into the car so far.

Hats off to you Damien.

Although I do remember a conversation we had when you were asking about an axle. I’d say things have slightly spiralled out of control 😆😆

[quote="eddy_gti6"]Good work mate and some nice figures there. See a lot of work gone into this and still plenty more to go. Shame the forum is so quiet these days for people to see and appreciate this tho.
Keep it going Cool

Big Thankyou Chris ...yes very quiet nowadays....I see roughly 100 people look though in most posts and I know of four people who look but never post ...

I’ve sort of finished the passenger side now ...just drivers side rear arch lip to make and front wing Alloy to make and bond plus weld x2 tabs on ...

New front windows arriving 1st of next month .....

Cage needs a few little mods

Pedal box will have to wait until end of the year LOL £2k approx complete

Then body panels need spraying Whistle

Keep you busy for a while at lease and plenty of updates to come Big grin would be good to see this out on track. You get out anywhere other than combe?

Rear end finished ...old exhaust cutout filled sprayed and lacquered because it has a centre exhaust now....

Tony Palfrey of Maxi motorsport 205 Carbon front wheel arches put on the rear of my 306 ....fits perfectly Thumbs up

That’s the rear End finished....
Just drivers side Carbon/Kevlar wing to modify bond and trial fit ...passenger side all finished

In the picture below I’ve cut 3-4 inches of standard wing away which pictures are in earlier posts and then welded a 50mm lip around the arch with 30mm outside supporting the Carbon arch and 20mm inside keeping the old cutaway plastic wheel arch wheel liner in place

It looks much better than in the picture LOL
The car looks high but it’s not and the wheels are 17inch with 215/45/17 DZO3GS

Moneys been really tight and I’ve neglected the car for a few months..
I’ve not been on here for a couple of months either due to my 18yr old Son flying off to America for College for the next 4 years ..it’s been a crazy busy time at my house !

That aside ....from tonight I’m back finishing off bits including the front drivers side wing etc ....

Hopefully post some pics later

2..All the Suspension Will Declaudios going to set up with me ...
3...the two wings now finished and bonded and trial fitted ...
4..my Roll cage needs a day or two modding and upgrading etc...
5...1000grit wet and dry and relaquer David Warrens Carbon front splitter ...same as I did with the rear Carbon arches ...

6...last but not least both doors / both front wings and front 50plus wider bumper needs filling and spraying to the same colour as the rest of the car ..

Some pics and small updates ...hopefully on my way to finishing before End of November...

Window trial fitted to see if curved is 100% now doors are all lined up ....

P4P are amazing ...no gap anywhere around the Lexan window ...that means the inside bond / bead line will look really smart Thumbs up

Both front windows will be bonded in the same as the front windscreen...the Carbon / kevlar doors have a 15mm lip all around x4 corners ...

Hopefully the pop out scoops will cool the inside down with the roof scoop helping and the warm air exits out both rear bonded quarter glasses with the opening round vents ?

This is the alloy plate bent and formed then bonded on to fix to the inside edge of the drivers WING = door inside By hinge side ...this process is the same as was done on the passenger side .....it makes it so stiff and secure...better than original even ..

I’m going to bond a little alloy L shape /alloy lip around the arch edge to the Composite to help stop flapping and flexing at super high speed ....I did similar to my bonnet that was lifting slightly....better to do it before arches are sprayed Thumbs up
