if you have an olive type exhaust, then you can use the original exhaust clamps which look like these.________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |

U clamps are best for slot fit exhausts and wont work for oe type best i think get direct replacement for your old rusty ones or the one welshpug has pic of will do the same job !use paste under clamp for best seal! ________________________________________ BLACK RALLYE - phoenixWHITE RALLYE - valliant http://public.servicebox.peugeot.com/ https://www.gov.uk/check-mot-history |

If this is the tape fabric type sealer stuff then probably not best may give you clamping issues the idea of the clamp is to squeese the metal ends of the pipes together a little paste just gives a final seal to fill any tiny holes left tape could just cause issues !! May work but i wouldnt waste it paste i cheap!! ________________________________________ BLACK RALLYE - phoenixWHITE RALLYE - valliant http://public.servicebox.peugeot.com/ https://www.gov.uk/check-mot-history |

Just reuse the original one, I'd assume auz cars are similar condition underneath as NZ ones so the butting surfaces will be fine as long as you tighten up the clamps properly, worry about the actual mufflers rusting out before a join goes bad |

You are right but for circa $2.50 its easier to just buy the right new ones and not worry about it for longer. |

Well it looks like i am onto option C, bought new bolts and paint rated to 540C/1000F.make it my weekend project to clean them up and paint them, while i still wait for my bloody locking nut as another random question to whom ever sees it, is it recommended to keep the bonnet heat shield, or can it be removed? |
