Hello.

I got a problem with my 306 GTI6 .
ABS lamp lights up periodically, and when it lights up, then all exterior lights on the car disappear.
I must then turn the light switch over to AUTO, then alle the exterior lights Works fine.

Anybody have any tips on what might be wrong ?

Thanks in advance.

Auto lights. That must be a euro option.

Sounds like an earth fault on the abs pump.
Or a power fault to the pump.

Do the exterior lights work manually from the stalk when the abs light is off?

Thanks for answer.
Sorry, forgot to write it, yes it's a europe car ( Norway).
When the ABS lamp dont lights up, then all the exterior light comes automatically on when i start the car.
And when the ABS light lights up, then I have to manually turn the light button to Auto.
(Sorry for bad english).

Update:
After driving the car 30 km and I braked hard several times, the ABS light disappeared and all exterior lights came on automatically as it should be. This has happened twice. The reason I braked hard is becuase I dont use the car so often and it started getting rust coating on the brake discs.
After the car has been parked for about two hours and I start up the car, the ABS light comes back on, and all exterior lights do not work. I must then turn the light switch over to AUTO, then all the exterior lights comes on.

Any ideas people?

I try'ed that now, it did not helped Sad
Any other tips?
Is it any earth-point near by the wheel base/brakes? Becuase when I have breaked hard several times, the ABS lamp disappear, and the ABS system work fine. And the light works fine too. But after the car has been parked for couple of hours, the fault comes back...
