Anyone have any ideas? Bit of a crap description but I'm not sure what's causing it!

I've been having an issue with the Rallye's radio for a while now. Regularly it seems the radio earths through the speaker and on to the screws that hold the door speakers in place. I hear a small pop through the speakers then the radio stops producing sound and when I turn it off and on again it says "check wiring".Anyone have any ideas? Bit of a crap description but I'm not sure what's causing it! ________________________________________ Rallye Race Car |

I have a very simular issue after some testing of the old wiring i believe it to be a broken speaker wire earthing affecting the passenger door pops slightly then no sound stereo still works fine most have suggested that it is a break in the door jam gator wiring but i have rewired both doors and alas no fix im guessing its under the carpet hopefully not behind the dash cant see how one wire behind the dash would be damaged on its own when its held all together wiring runs from the door jam down the side of the chair round the back of the chair then back to the dash up the centre if you fix yours before i do let me know chap ________________________________________ BLACK RALLYE - phoenixWHITE RALLYE - valliant http://public.servicebox.peugeot.com/ https://www.gov.uk/check-mot-history |

Tempted just to get an automotive electrician to have a look and see if he can find the problem. I'm sure with some decent tools it will be easy to find.________________________________________ Rallye Race Car |

It's probably a speaker wiring problem. If you short circuit the terminals on an amp most will go into a self protection mode. You reset this by turning on and off again________________________________________ China D Turbo HDi daily chargerBlack Rallye occassional toy |
