Hi all,

So my car has started emitting a savage clonk (deep suspension joint type clonk) from the bottom front left corner of the passenger footwell....

Now my car runs RichW wishbone P jobbies which have been on there for a good few years - it feels like it is something like that emitting this noise, how long/regularly do you expect to have to change these?

The clonk is extremely bad on lanes with uneven surfaces where the left front wheel is pattering more than impacting over bumps.

When the Satchshift was being fitted the mechanic checked all of the bushes etc, tightened it up but to no avail, he suggested either the wishbone mounts or steering rack maybe?

I've got a trackday coming up in October and really need it sorting - any suggestions or common issues people are aware of?

Get the numbers from the bearings. Order them on ebay. You can get nice skf ones for not much cash.

How many miles would you class as 'don't last overly well' Chris?

Depends if they get used regularly and kept well greased but all the lower arms I've seen lately have had bad notchy bearings ?? Especially the ones that have been sat on cars that are not used that often ie just sat on the bearings in one spot
