Morning,

Well thought I would get some pictures up of my recent expedition to combe with the 206! Was about a month ago now, usual track day only difference was the rain! Suprisingly r888's in a heavy down pore grip so well!
The only thing that threw me was the time of day it started to dry out with just a few damp patches on circuit, which gave me too much confidence in the circuit (worst thing to happen)

My brother & my dad had driven earlier with a few spin outs but nothing major, my lap and this happened!
Doh

Few pictures when we got the car home!

Coming round Camp corner right on the apex, a mixture of going a bit too quick on a part of the circuit which was still partially wet. Back end went and started to kick out, Almost held it! Then hit the wet grass which just catapulted the car into the tyre wall. Was more thankful that it hit the tyre wall as there is a concrete barrier not far along!
Was definitely a shake up, but atleast me and my brother walked away with a few bruises.

Car is a complete write off as the whole front end has shifted over, never worth repairing! Engine still runs with the only part leaking is a burst power steering pipe. It's a big lesson that does re-affirm track days aren't always accident free but I know where I went wrong! Definitely take a lesson from this!

Definitely a warning to take it steady on a drying circuit!

Just glad this didn't happen in the 306!

The only good thing to come of it, because of how much was on the 206, would have been a waste to just sell up as it is a good back up car! Managed to collect this the same day

For a bargain price of.............. £260!

I'll try and get some pictures up of the swap over!

Everyone crashes in the end, at least you're trying hard enough to actually hit something! Smile Glad you're ok though.

Drying tracks are the best kind of track, can throw it in to a corner and slide until you hit the dry patches Big grin

Oh dear! Glad you're ok.

I've spun camp a few times, and crashed in Quarry, writing off a Gti 6.

Glad to see some 206 love too! Thumbs up, might have to ask you about some mods at some point.

Sorry to see that.

I liked the colour and it's certainly nimble around Combe!

I imagine you had to shell out the £260 and a month of Sundays in labour to swap all the bits over - being your boo boo LOL

    Cheers for the comments everyone!

Standard gti, previous owner was told it was an ecu fault! Changed a £25 coolant sensor and it runs perfect now.

Pebbles, more than welcome to ask away, if you ever need any bits I have a few spare!

Dan, tell me about it, ran so well and then this happened. Felt bad!
Just had to change the cambelt and water pump, over the accident is going to cost about £600 as all the side mounts had bent! Will get some picture of the 206 work in progress!
