I've a leak at the rear of my engine towards the cam belt end and I'm 99% sure it's the cam carrier seal.

Whilst it's apart I wish to replace the cam seals both ends in case they are at fault, and it makes sense to do them at the same time anyway.

What brands would people recommend? Febi appear common place on ebay, but people may suggest otherwise from experience.

I haven't checked service box yet, but shall do to see if they are reasonably priced.

Are there any other seals on the gearbox end of the camshaft?

I'm trying to compile a purchase list of thing to replace which will be disturbed when the cam carriers come of.

Mister Auto have p**sed me about for 2 weeks with a load of parts I had ordered up for this job. They were the only place I could easily see Payen seals listed online for delivery. Where do you guys get them from online? I think I am better off cancelling my order and placing another one elsewhere.

I get them from a local engine remanufacturers, afaik they are supplied by FPS who are a trade supplier uk wide, so your local motorfactor can do them usually.

or you can try ringing SWP and see if they will post to you.

FPS have a branch in bristol so quite possible your local factors can get them from there.

Thanks. I shall ask around and get them to check their 'FPS catalogue' and failing that I will get in touch with the engine shop in the next town and ask if they'd order 'em in for me.
