I can supply new Wossner ones if that's of any interest - not far from you either.

Cheers

£800 is a good price. I had a set of Omega pistons but they required custom rods which were going to be £500 minimum anyway!

If you're building a high comp engine it's going to cost money! The parts are rare enough that it'll either take you ages to find second hand or will be expensive as you have to buy new. It sucks but from what I've seen, that's the way it is Sad

Not trying to put you off, just hoping you don't set unrealistic expectations. I've got no idea what the spec of your car is but you can make a 6 go pretty quickly round a track with a standard engine.

I agree though! If it's budget build stick a standard lump in.

Standard bottom will withstand track abuse if protected. There's no point putting rods and pistons with standard head, so add some cams, now we need standalone ecu ideally. 3k gone. Still under 200hp

I disagree, standard head is bloody good, seen well over 200 from quite a few, my std head with mild cams and modified std pistons is circa 200.

also, you STILL havent confirmed the dome size of those pistons which you said yourself was too high.

So what suspension, brakes & tyres are you running to need a high comp engine?

http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=130477123155&globalID=EBAY-GB

You'll struggle to find second hand!

Perhaps you could look at going low boost, you'll get 250bhp for similar money to the route your going to get 200....
Cool

Exactly. With a standard engine we're faster than most things on a trackday and set some pretty shifty lap times (class records etc. in the race series)

Bargain dampers! You're a long way off making it go round and round really quick though.
