I need to replace the bolt and nut that goes through the front bush on the wishbone (my bolt sheared on removal). I noticed the nut is mounted into a little metal bracket thing that presumably stops the nut from turning when tightening/slackening the bolt. But when I look on Servicebox, it lists a square nut (352255) which is NFP. Does anyone know if this is an updated version of what I have abd just does the same job? There are folk selling the square nut on ebay for silly amounts of money.________________________________________ 1999 GTi-6 (china blue)1999 Rallye (black) |

I thought it was pricey for what it is....one nut. Considering the bolt is only 3.12 from pug ________________________________________ 1999 GTi-6 (china blue)1999 Rallye (black) |

Would be £4.33 anyway from Peugeot with the time/fuel needed to collect. It's a best offer auction. Bid him a fiver and see what happens. ________________________________________ |

I just made a deal with the seller of the eBay parts so got a little off. Still the most expensive nut and bolt I've ever bought.Does the square nut just sit in there and not move when you tighten the bolt up? ________________________________________ 1999 GTi-6 (china blue)1999 Rallye (black) |

p.s, I'd look into using the caged nut form the mk2 partner/berlingo vans, 3522 92.________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |

That sounds like the arrangement I took off and seem like a better solution to the square nut.________________________________________ 1999 GTi-6 (china blue)1999 Rallye (black) |

The square nut was used on the earlier cars.Later Phase 3's came with a different style, although these have never been available from Pug and they would only supply you with the earlier square nuts, which you say are NLA. I'm guessing the ones I'm talking about are probably the ones fitted to the Partner etc. ________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone |
