It was far to good a price to turn down ...god knows who made it ...one of many ???

Running AT mo a Original Peugeot Cat & 2"stainless cat back two box system runs at 83db at Combe testing !!

Bought a full stainless steel 2nd hand Peugeot sport looks big (2.5 from 1/2 way down decat right through to the end of the tailpipe ) complete system with two silencers & has decat pipe & I got it for a great price & I'm thinking about fitting it to my stnd engine 6 ????
Problem is I'm being told I will may lose some mid range but gain at top end ?
Been told a standard NA 6 likes back pressure ?

If it's going to cause probs then I'll hold on to it until the charger comes ?

The maxi car it came off of was bodies & cammed & made 98db

Anybody tried this ??????

no engine likes "backpressure", what you need is a bore that matches the gas speeds and pulse tuning, which in effect will give much lower "backpressure" if you get it right, go too small and you get massive restriction, go too large and the gas speeds plummet too quickly and will only make power really high in the revs.

I ran a 2.25" straight through middle section with decat and a scorpion back box, to be honest i would say its the best exhaust i have had on any 6 i have owned. The 2.5" magnex with the maniflow manifold, cams and VLR inlet on my nile was a good exhaust too but that was only because of the mods. I have a 2.5" magnex on my rallye now and i hate it.

You only had One silencer box on back box ?....how loud was that ?

Your Magnex now does that have two silencer boxes = one in middle section ?
Both mine do inc the new one but one on the car now has three boxes inc the cat / middle box & back box

Had a Scorpion 2.25 myself Eddy, Magnex decat. Sounded a lot better than the Miltek system got now. Just the right tone without being Too Chavey. Got it 2nd for about £50 just needed the back box re packing.

That's an old style PS magnex same as mine. Bodged decat from a standard downpipe.

They used to be worth quite a bit, gain power and decent weight loss

Yeah my middle section was stainless too retropug. Sounded awesome. Wouldnt mind another one.

What system you got on at the minute day666? Decat pipe will be fine, does the same job as any other decat, looks like its been done quite well

Stick the decat on take the car out for a good run, go home stick the magnex on and do the same again and just see what one feels and sounds the best for you. Decat does nake a good difference to sound and performance

I also have an old PS Magnex system on mine - word of warning i fitted a decat and it made it crazily loud - very aggressive top end pull though which was nice on track but made it slow at the bottom of the rev range.

I've read the decat effectively moves the torque curve - driveability wise it was worse, but lots of fun from 4-7k

Bought off local dealer Gen Lamba for £102.00 discount price was superseded part no to this one but has data sheet saying wires far to long ...1.5 metre in length ...can put Lamba on pipe on the floor & still have enough cable Crazy
I think cable ties are going to be needed ?
