With the dash in I had to drill my hole from underneath ...used template for left to Right position & you can use our measurement also from underneath for top to bottom measurement It will all make sense once you start |

Chris I did mine without a template & Im not a Mechanic ?....what probs you having ?All you need is our measurement m8 ? If you build it up on top of the subframe you can see where you drill the hole by where the linkage meets the metal Have a look at Ollies inside car floor ribbed pic ....you really can't go wrong m8 .... It passenger side I between first & second rib ....& we gave you the height ???? I didn't think the Template was any use really as Ollie said you can move it up & down 1-2 inches m8 ? |

Yeah James has got that and is doing an awesome job, that said I think general access for a drill etc past the steering rack is proving tricky as I have the full dash and heater in place bar the bottom section of the heater vents/plastic webbing It's hard to say as I'm not there (not that I'd be of any use anyway...) |

Chris I'm being honest m8 ...with the heater in & dash in its much more difficult !!! But do able ...I thought getting the pin out of the gear selector was the most difficult thing ? We did take Exhaust off NOT manifold !!!! You 100% don't need template m8 & if you had one you would see why !!!! You sure this guys really up to it Chris ....there's Mechanics & MECHANICS m8 & some are no good at working things out unless it's dot to dot or step by step Chris ...just saying I never had any really extra special tools really .....90 degree Airdrill & black & decker power file 2tools ...but I wouldn't of got it done without a ramp |

Yes 100% he's more than capable, just good to get some reassurance clearance wise from the front/underneath that you can get a sufficient angle in there to achieve the hole neededDid you do yours with the dash in etc? How difficult was the overall setup once you had it all connected? Thanks again for the help Chris |

I put a alloy plate on the floor inside the car when I was drilling from underneath as there's only 2inch gap before you drill the bottom of the heater box !!! I've never changed a clutch or anything really ...but I'm good at working things out & a quick learner |

I did Ross's with the drivers side a foot of the ground and the exhaust was still fitted, it takes me half hour max to get the dash out so was the easiest way imo |

Interesting thanks guys, we've got this far dash in so seems a little extreme to remove nowWhat kind of angle are you drilling through at, obv because of clearance you can't get perpendicular to the surface... |

so, sat here on the living room floor wondering where the f**k the 220mm measurement was plucked from, given the small rod is 170mm up from the steering rack bolt if the joint is bolted to the top of the quadrant.20150726_102804 by WELSHPUG, on Flickr ________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |

indeed, that measurement has confused me totally, as the top of the subframe is even higher than the steering rack bolt!________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |

Have you got a template for comparison?I'll let you know how it compares with template tomorrow when I hear from my mate :-) but hopefully we'll hear back before then! Could it be the underside of the cross member or something? |

I did get a template but that was months ago, no idea where it is now.the most ideal dimensions to give would be from the bottom of the subframe straight up to the centre of the hole, and a distance from the centreline of the tunnel to the middle of the hole. ________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |

Ok so....First thing - Its in! (not finished but in) - however we cant get 5th & 6th!? (It wont physically move right to even move towards 5th & 6th) - any ideas? Secondly - 220mm was WAY too high - this measurement is either wrong or taken from a different datum point than the one we interpreted it as....Day666 - any ideas mate? Any advice on point 1 would be gratefully received! |

the gear selection issue will be the selector, you've let it drop down and it's now not engaged in the shaft properly, take the arm off, move it down and turn it, lift it back up and refit the arm.what kind of measurement have you got Chris? ________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |

I'd imagine either will work if you make the hole big enough.________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |

Chris I think it's best for everyone on here to sort there own way of doing it ..I wish I wouldn't of given any measurements now .. I double checked 220mm was correct & I'm taking my Dash out Sat to sort other issues & will check again .... But if your saying it's wrong & Mei said How ? Ignore the 220mm The Boot Dave told me was designed to go facing inside the Car ? I've not fitted mine yet . Got old one fitted still ... If it's ok out as Ollie has said all the better ...with the dash in it would be a sod to fit inside !!!! I did Measure 220mm from underneath the car ...220mm up & 90 degrees into tunnel !!!!...you got me thinking now .. Now if that's no good ..My apology ..but these are Easy to work out once you have done one but sadly that's after The 5th 6th gear issue Ollie had with his on his older posts I think getting to drill right area is the difficult bit !!! The most difficult bit for me was removing the selector pins which I believed was one pin instead of two ... Maybe removing it as One was my problem ... I did mine & it works great & Ollies problems like selector dropping I made sure didn't happen to me ....Thank you Ollie your a star . Remember I left my dash in Chris & had to do mone a little different . Ollies info was priceless though Remember it's not a fit & forget item as most arnt...I've checked mine & one or two things inc main Allen post bolt did come alittle lose ... All I know is apart from my 3j plate diff it's by far the Best mod |
