i'm assuming most of the boot will be inside the car?I must say the kit is beautifully made, just quite intimidating with no instructions or template etc :S |

Yeah i think that's where i positioned the centre of my hole. I think i did a 32mm hole but i've had to enlarge it a bit downwards. For some reason i can't select 5th or 6th on my box, nothing to do with the satchshift kit as even with it disconnected i can't pull one of the selector arms out which i believe it needs to do to get 5th and 6th. Could it be from lifting one of the selector shafts up a bit in order to drive the roll pin in? I'm pretty sure i kept the spring thing in place under the new selector arm. I should add that the 'box is dry of any oil and no driveshafts are in, so maybe i just need to put the shafts in with some oil and rotate it a bit to maybe help line things up? ________________________________________ Goldie the track car. |

Yes Contact TIGgerDave on this post & he will send you one out You can fit it without but I wouldn't want to try it unless you have already fitted one !!!! |

Stephen, the same happened with my 5th and 6th, when swapping the selector arm over on the box the shaft dropped down and rotated, you need to take the arm back off push the shaft down and turn it clockwise as your looking into the engine bay, pull the shaft back up and fit the arm and check it turns equal distance left and right |

Ahh, thanks Ollie, i'll try that tomorrow evening. Have you got any tips for getting the roll pin in and out? I found it a pain in the arse when i did it last time, im pretty sure there was one roll pin inside another, unsure whether it was meant to be the case or not though.________________________________________ Goldie the track car. |

Those roll pins are a pain in the arse, yup meant to be one in side another and are NLA from Peugeot! I had to use a rivet gun to remove mine, I replaced mine with an m5 bolt |

For me ....the roll pin was the most difficult thing to do !Getting out we made a 4foot 10mm hollow tube bar with a punch pushed into the end with a bolt stopping it getting pushed into the tube.... we could then tap with a small hammer from a distance & see what we were doing also with a light at the same time ....you can't get into that area that easy it still took 30 mins though .....then with the bar on a angle underneath the car to passenger side over the top of the subframe and into the front L/H wheel area you have room to tap out ...PS the roll pin looks like two ...but is one ....have the correct size Punch or it damages the pin & it jams ...just a little smaller than the out side of the pin ... Getting it in is no problem just file the end your tapping back in a little & I used WD40 |

The roll pin is 100% 2 items I thinner diameter in the middle which you should get out first then the larger one, both mine and Ross's had two and miles informed me that there where two |

got a pic of which bit you mean to be the "top of the subframe" ? as its not a very flat thing, whereas the bottom is :p changing my flywheel soon hopefully, so I'll do it and get the engine out as there's no chance of getting a drill in there otherwise. using a bolt for the selector arm isn't wise as it needs to be a tight fit. ________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |

The bolt is a tight fit, it's a bolt not a screw so has a long shank which is the same diameter as the hole (slight interference fit) |

As daft as this may sound, how the heck are we meant to know what goes where? I don't have any instructions etc? Obv I will follow the instructions etc in this thread as best I can but even they jump about a bit - does anyone have a clear step by step? |

When you start to fit it & take apart you will see what goes where easily On this pic, just approx where is the hole? I've now removed carpets etc etc and I can see with the dash in its going to be very entertaining...did you drill your hole from inside, Thanks for this guys, I've got a mechanic mate who will ultimately for it but he doesn't know half of what I do from here so trying to compile some sort of guide for him... |
