Any idea when the other kits will be available?I've got my engine out for the next two weeks and my gear selector is missing the rubber ball, seems fate is telling me to buy one of these kits. But seriously, i'll buy one if i can get it in the next two weeks, should make fitting a fair bit easier. ________________________________________ Goldie the track car. |

I should of thought of that & took mine out ....joke My Selector ball was missing also & all my stuff was bought new 10months ago ... Don't need it now !!!! I've not got a clue time wise myself ? All I can tell you & this is fact ...Satchell Enginnering don't do it for the money & want this product to be 100% & don't want there name damaged ...Mei will tell you much better than me ... They make small batches of unique stuff & don't mass produce & have no interest to ... They enjoy what they do & that's the reason they do it ... They are very talented men with a farming background & there's only 2-3 of them max ....so not a big outfit by anyone's standards ... They seem to speak very highly of & know Mr Peouget/ Mei very well so maybe he can shed some light ! As Ollie said its worth waiting for Are you going to FCS ? |

Yeah I'm well aware that they aren't in it to churn out crap products, everything of theirs that I have seen looks very impressive, I'm only wanting it in a rush as im potentially doing a trackday on the 5th of June so will need the engine back in by then, and obviously life will be infinitely easier to fit the kit without the engine in as I don't have access to a 4 post lift. I wouldn't slander a company if I was to buy a product that wasn't 100% finished, I'd be walking into the purchase well aware of the current situation. I won't be at FCS, haven't been for years. I'll be at pugfest though, whether I take the track car or not is a different matter though! ________________________________________ Goldie the track car. |

I'm at both so feel free if you don't get one to have a try of mine The only reason I said that was not just to you Steve but to others ...Kam Racing are getting pressure because now people are realising they can fit them in all sorts of ways & even with centre console kind of now with small mods they want them !!! I was one of the first people over a year ago in a group buy wanted one ...so I'm pleased & I'm like you now worrying my throttle bodies & loom won't get done for my 4hr open pit lane day at FCS |

Mine is fitted and used mine earlier including clutch less up shifting third to fourth gear, this is an awesome mod mine has the new fitting kit with boot on the inside. My tunnel got warm but my car has now got 200 miles on my new engine. Can't believe how good this kit is. Satchell engineering have my vote will definitley call them when I need work doing now. Big thumbs up You don't have the revised tube and boot we just made the old one fit with a lot of trimming on the inside! As I cut my tube and boot down to get it away from the manifold I won't be able to use mine to achieve the same results |

Waiting to see what Dave comes up with & it's not a issue having a hole there for A few weeks I think that's why no more kits are being released because of boots getting 100% sorted .......shame because a little hole doesn't stop it from working 100% amazing ...!!!!!!!! Glad you modified Ross one Ross your so lucky to have Ollie to help you & a god send he's fitted one already & now you have ruined Him !!!! |

Ollie, we'll send you and everyone else a new boot with the new design, it is nearly completed, believe it or not we have made three revisions since our first idea, basically to keep it simple and so it fits with the holes you already have.Dave |

Sounds good to me Dave, would be good if I didn't have to take the dash out again to remove the inner skin like I did to Ross's |

What size hole is needed through into the car, and does anyone have any measurements for the position of the hole centre in relation to anything yet?I'm hopefully putting the engine back in mine tomorrow so want to get the hole in place whilst i have easy access to the bulkhead. I was hoping my kit would be here by now but it seems i'm not that lucky. ________________________________________ Goldie the track car. |

With out paper template ....Inside the car it's I between the ribbing in the floor towards passenger side ...difficult to explain without template ? Drill a small pilot hole first Ollies picture shows the floor ribbing & what I'm trying to explain Day666 has attached the following image: |

Nope I don't have a template yet.Right, so if I drill a small hole around that area to find the correct position vertically then whack a bigger hole through from the engine bay side with the centre 220mm up from the top of the subframe I should be somewhere close. Do you know what diameter hole is required? I think I'll buy a hole saw for the job Are all the standard pivot points etc redundant on the gearbox now then? Just thinking I may as well remove them whilst it's all out and easy to access. I take it there's no chance the heat shields can be retained with the satchshift kit fitted? Thanks for your help mate ________________________________________ Goldie the track car. |

Thanks for your help mate Yes & make sure as in Ollies picture your on the left passenger side rib & in the middle of it as mine is You can be 5-10mm out so don't worry to much !!! My hole is 40mm you will be cutting into the sides of the double skin floor in the rib look at a close up of post before Ollies rib inside floor When you measure up off the subframe go 90 degrees level straight into tunnel it's about 6-7 inches in I used a short bit of wood ... Nothing is used from the original set up & nothing on the subframe is used either all new even linkage bar goes !!!! No ....no chance of the heat-shields being used I tried ...everything's to close & catches Not just saying this It's the Best Mod on my car so far by a long way & I've got some good ones to beat My pleasure ....so many great people have helped me on here & are still helping me ....what goes around |

Just checked and nope i didnt get a template, but i've made the hole already so hopefully i'll be somewhere close to where i need it to be.I made a start on fitting the kit tonight, but ran out of time/light. Don't worry about the template, i'm sure i'll be able to sort something out. ________________________________________ Goldie the track car. |

I haven't got the revised tube or boot yet so I'm guessing they are not releasing any more kits yet |
