Hi there. I'm relatively new to this page, so if you can bare with me that'd be great! I'm not the biggest hands on mechanic ever, but I'll do my best to answer your questions if needed.

It's time to sell my absolute pride and joy. This is my Black Peugeot 306 GTI-6. It's completely original, unmolested and is a very near perfect example. It was first owned by a Peugeot Dealer Salesman from new for 6 Months. It was then sold to a Gent who kept the car for 14 years, and kept it in completely original condition, sending the car to his local Peugeot dealer/garage for every single Mot, service and repair, and as proof, he gave me all of the receipts for every single bit of work the car has had, down to new wiper blades. When I bought the car I thought it was only right to keep up the treatment the car had all them years and took It to my local a Peugeot dealer for its Mot, service and repairs. On its last visit I paid £1800 for a CAM belt, fan belt and water pump change, a completely new A/C system, a new Central Locking system, a Manifold sensor replaced, a full service and Mot, plus other bits shown on the receipt. The interior is in mint condition, and the exterior is in fantastic condition also. The only bad points I can think of are a slight scuff on the front drivers side alloy and a small chip in the windscreen. I'm in no rush to sell, so there won't be much movement on the price. If it doesn't sell or the right buyer doesn't come along then I don't mind waiting as it deserves to go to a good owner. If you have any questions or would like any photos of the receipts/service book then don't hesitate to ask.

Thanks

Yeah it seems quite a high price but its worth its weight in gold to me, so movement on the price is limited like I say, I didn't imagine I'd get too much interest so I won't be too downhearted if it doesn't go at the moment. I'll look through all of the receipts again if anyone needs evidence/dates of any work done, but I don't think there's been a change in suspension

It's very nice but a little over priced ? I'd say £1500 is a more realistic price ? But it's your car so your price

Yeah the price could change depending on circumstances in the future but it is what it is for now at least. I own a 6 series BMW but if I had to choose which car to keep it would definitely be the 306, as daft as it sounds, but the missus drives the BMW aswell and won't let me get rid of it!

Pictures would help. Nothing wrong with standard suspension. A massive history is definitely something which will get extra money.

But for this price at 133K miles it would have to be absolutely as new underneath, no rust or monkey-jacking stoved-in box sections, minty mcmint interior, engine/suspension needing nothing done to it, has it had a head gasket etc.

    Look forward to pics.

Mate I'm sorry it looks a clean example but it won't fetch £2k or anything near

Yeah no qualms, I guess it'll just be staying with me then Smile the pictures in the advert don't do it any justice to be fair, I'll be putting some better more updated ones up when i get chance. As for head gasket or suspension I've looked through all of the receipts and there's nothing said from 1999 onwards that either have been changed, Whether you want to take that as a negative or a positive is upto yourselves.

Huge negative mate when the car is 2k! Its basically an average mileage gti6 that needs/will need suspension. I think you'd be lucky to get £1300

If I was in the market for one of these I would definitely pay very nearly your asking price. Very rare to find one in that condition with full Pug history and working air-con with mint interior.

If I had the money I'd put £1600 down. £2000 is fully minty mint money in my opinion and this is minty mint apart from the suspension and average mileage, id spend £400 on taking the suspension back to box fresh so that would come off the price of the car.

The other way to look at it is if these cars do what the 205 gti did a standard mint one could be worth twice as much in 3 years time and this would be a great investment at 2k.

Good look with the sale, it looks a belting car.

Had a lot of enquiries about the car, a few offers around the 1600 mark, and the latest email asked for alot of details, so I thought I may aswell copy and paste the reply here incase anybody is still interested.

"The last service and Mot it had was in August 2014, the Mot runs out on 05/08/2014, and that was at 130593 miles, the car currently has 131872 miles on it, and won't be gaining any more miles as I've Sorn it. The last service came with a new Cambelt, Water Pump, Timing Kit, Coolant Pump, plugs, oil and air filters, along with new washer jets, new air con pipes, new door harness/central locking. It also had a lot of cosmetic replacements such as wiper blades and bulbs. The last Fanbelt, water pump and motor kit before this was at 108530 miles on 17/02/2011.

    The car throughout its life has had all services and repairs at Peugeot dealerships at these miles and dates as follows;

    10/03/1998 - 1295
    (can't make out date) - 9000
    09/09/1998 - 17137
    11/01/2000 - 25453
    12/01/2001 - 33225
    16/08/2001 - 38279
    02/07/2002 - 46814
    08/07/2003 - 54708
    07/07/2004 - 60174
    07/07/2005 - 66529
    27/06/2006 - 75561
    29/06/2007 - 82228
    10/07/2008 - 89356
    24/06/2009 - 95026
    01/07/2010 - 104471
    14/06/2011 - 109740
    26/06/2012 - 117372
    11/08/2014 - 130593

To prove the history of these services and repairs, I have every single Mot, service stamp and receipt, all dated. As far as my records tell me with your questions regarding the clutch, head gasket, suspension, brake pads/discs etc this is the information I have in the receipts...

    Head Gasket - N/a
    Suspension - N/a
Brake Pads/Disc changes - 27/11/2012 at 120844 miles, plus times before that.
Read Pads - 18/10/2012 at 120106 miles plus times before that.
Exhaust - Intermediate pipe and silencer - 29/06/2007 at 82228 miles plus various exhaust noise repairs in its mileage at 33275
Fan and wiring harness replacement - 11/04/2006 at 73811 miles
Clutch - serviced and repaired at 117372 miles on 26/06/2012

As far as the paintwork is concerned, for it age I think it's near immaculate. The car is straight as an arrow, and I can't find a dent or a tiny bit of rust anywhere. The 2 chips on the windscreen is near the drivers eyeline, but are impossibly small to give you a measurement, but I thought I'd advertise it out of courtesy. The alloy scuff is actually on the passenger side near the tyre (I was gutted when I did it while parking), but the damage is very, very small and minimal, it's just took the paint off, but again I mentioned it out of courtesy. The car also comes with 2 keys.

All of the receipts are in order of date/mileage in two paper wallets, and there's a fair bit of of car part lingo referenced to Peugeot that I don't fully understand, but a car enthusiast would, so if I've missed anything about the head gasket or the suspension you'll have to forgive me, but the car has clearly been looked after to the highest standard, from any engine faults, brake discs/pads, services, wiper blades, tailgate mouldings, wiring, switches and so many more things but I think I'd be here forever to get through it all. The car even has original rubber Peugeot mats with the receipt!"

Whether this interests anyone or not, I thought I'd post it anyway, even if it's just for a bit of a long read if anyone's bored!

    Thanks

Decided to replace the radiator and steering column which were advisories on the Mot and "health check" Peugeot last carried out, along with 2 brand new tyres, and also getting the alloys done, before putting into a garage/storage for the time being out of the weather, so probably not looking to sell the car for now. Many thanks for the interest.
