So I've been absent for a fair old while. Sold both my Rallyes and bought myself a GSXR 1000

SHINY!

Just thought I'd let you all know that I'd renewed my membership, so there is no need to panic, you can all calm down now.

Regards,

Chris.

Ah, a man in the know!

Yeah he picked it up for a friend I believe, I hope they enjoy it, was a great car! The bike is excellent, surprisingly good at touring.

Will be looking for a 306 Hdi or Gti6 soon as a run about whilst searching for another car with some serious shove Big grin

Yeah, I know the car from back when Dave & Jim had it as their track car.

I've been thinking about bikes myself recently. Might finally get my license sorted out next summer and then take a look at what's around...

I moved on from 306 ownership about 18 months ago, and got a Leon FR TDI DSG for commuting. A house purchase a few years back has meant there's not the budget for 2 cars at the moment though Sad

That's a nice car, heard good things about that generation leon. Pics?

The Rallye was excellent, no faults with it at all. Just wasn't using it much, and after all I have the bike for track days. I saw 170mph on the clock out of it in the summer, wow!

I understand what you are saying with house prices, thats why I sold the rallye, needed some cash for a deposit. Ill probably get something slightly more modern on finance/loan at some point in the near future. Bizarrely I'm rather interested in a Vectra VXR.

Bikes are great, and surprisingly cheap and easy to keep. Get your licence and get something a bit older but decent. Honda VFR 800 V4 Vtec should do it. With 107bhp and a comfy riding position, you'll have a blast

Look after it and you'll get what you paid for it.

I've yet to ever loose money on a bike... (not including my pride and joy that i binned Sad)

Built it into a track car old bean! Wizard I wonder if Pete from Deal ever came back on here to see what happened to it.

I'm glad it got a good thrashing - was sad seeing it sat on my driveway for near on 2 years without a trackday.

I have to say it does feel strange since not having a 306 in the family anymore Mellow

I've always fancied a vfr sports tourer. I was chatting to a bloke who was cleaning his, the other week, and he slipped on the suds and dropped it on its side while I was talking to him. Doh

I done my CBT the other weekend and have my Mod 1&2 DAS test booked for the first week in January (Why I'm doing my bike test in the winter I have no idea)

Not sure what to get. Fancy a supermoto for a bit, or a street bike maybe. I'm too tall to be crouched over!

I did my CBT about 15 years ago in London. Was enough to put me off riding and going for my full! Big grin

Try getting off and on the roundabout at Elephant and Castle on a 50cc bike! Big grin
