Hi i have seen these before but can not find anything on the search engine here so looking to get one for the rallycross car but are they Ok or do they cause problems or snapping things?

Also who makes these and i have seen some have a small bush in them?

completely solid or harder 'uprated' ones?

colin satchell made my completely solid one from turned ally. combined with the other solid mounts it made for serious vibration but did the job perfectly

I used a solid nylon bush in my 205 rally car, teamed with the harshness of the paddle clutch it eventually snapped the lower engine mount fork, seriously ruined my rally Sad
If you're going to fit one I suggest you leave the little rubber bush in the lower fork. I'd personally go with a baker bottom mount and nylon fork bush though.

I had a solid engine mount and the housing snapped after. While. Changed the mount/housing with a hardened rubber one. Much nicer drive

I'm with allanallan. Stilly had very solid engine mounts and the stress was transferred straight to the chassis nearest the mounts and put some substantial cracks in. I had to weld large plates on to stop it happening again.

Phillip m built some custom mounts classified as semi solid, I have used this and a constella solid item I'd typically say for you're car hawkesfire I'd go fully solid? If you're after a Phillip m semi solid give me a pm.
    Thanks

thats just the fork bush not the large one.

if you want solid you need to do all three, otherwise any flex will be transmitted into the shell violently through the solid one.

Thanks gents i have got a solid unit now will try next year as currently space framing front end to get some castor on the car and then we start to remove whole rear floor section from the cage back over.

We will also be looking to drop the engine height as well to get the COG as low as possible .......

    Lots of work !!!!!
