I need to get some new discs for my Brembos as mine are shot. Speaking to Hispec they have 2 310x28 discs. One with 180 pcd and the other 190. Any one have any idea which I need? I'm only round the corner from them today so would like to go and collect them today!

I opted for Tarox alternatives and they are bloody amazing, weirdly hispec were very open and honest about the best discs out there and it wasn't theirs, started with Brembo, then Tarox, BDA etc

£79+vat a disc plus a £50 engineering charge to make them!

Any other places anyone recommends to supply rotors?

so £300 a pair or thereabouts just for the rotors?

try Godspeed brakes but I doubt they will be any cheaper.

they do these ones as a direct fit for 406 brembo's on 106/205/306 etc, £395 inc bells.

I make that nearer 240 for the discs. Not that bad surely? Or was it 50 per disc engineering charge?

My AP discs were over 400 for a pair, so I wouldn't complain too much at 240!

why is there an engineering charge?

Reyland Motorsport seem to have a good rep for rotors, they provide pagid stuff.

Yeah its not too bad compared to some places. Just annoying that they charge £50 to make them for you yet they are a "off the shelf" item

If they have to make them, then don't expect them any time soon. I ordered some calipers that took 2 months, and the threat of legal action, to turn up. Il never use them again for anything.

My sole experience with Hi Spec was about 4 years ago when I bought 310mm rotors from them, and they turned up pretty quickly from what I remember.

Mind you, that was back when Ash was still selling the kits, so they probably had a vested interest in keeping everyone happy.

Yours 310s as well? If so, we could get them done at the same time and split the engineering charge?

Yup, 310s on the race car. I could possibly ring them up and see if they'll do me a sponsorship deal in return for a discount, then send them out?

That would be great. I work just up the road from them as well a lot so can go and collect if needs be. Probably cheaper for me to send them out than them!

Im having the same problem too. need to replace my Tarox 310 rotors Pt No KRD0204, £490 all in including VAT and £10 P&P...... Grrr!Shock

Hi spec said to me yesterday £126 + VAT each plus £50 engineering fee plus £20 P&P so £360 but they need the disc to do it for about 2 weeks. or they could do 4 discs at £111 each.

Tarox said up to 2 weeks for delivery and made to order, the last ones ive had have lasted me 8yrs ! Tempted to just pay the extra £130 as they are quality hard wearing rotors and you get a a new set of 20 bolts to fix to the rotors.

Other half thinks its a waste of time and money but try explaining that to her "oh why do you have to have expensive stuff A. a bought them as it hands down beats a standard setup B. look how long its all lasted, 8yrs use including 12 trackdays and only needed 3 sets of pads in that time. C. they look the dogs dangles. D. They were on the car before we met.

I dont like the cost either but is there anybody on here who works for Tarox ???????Love Love Love
