Surely we've all seen the list by now, or are at least aware of it.This Top Gear article mentions the gti6 and the rallye: http://www.topgear.com/uk/photos/20-saddest-scrappage-scheme-victims-2014-09-30 ________________________________________ 61k miles Ph.1 Diablo '6 Project Thread |

I wish I'd never read that. My only hope is that they were so rusty they weren't really worth saving. ________________________________________ the zombie apocalypse started long ago, only no-one realised most can talk and drive |

They actually went to the trouble to list the gti and Rallye seperately! As I said over on oc I just hope they were made rusty tappers with broken axles. And that they weren't black. ________________________________________ CLUB BLACK RALLYE||B8s||60-70mm drop||Black Partner Steels||P1 VTS Rack||Refurbed Beam||Hybrid ARB||VTS Torsion Bar|| |

Being honest, most people restore these cars for the love of them. You can't invest money in them and see it back, it isn't a 205 gti which will slowly climb in value and buying a cheap one and sorting it yourself can significantly raise the value.Everyone who isn't a french car nerd like we are who buys a cheap, dog of a gti6 for 450 quid will just scrap it when they get a big bill or it drives terribly because it never got looked after. It's a huge shame but that's the attitude of most people when the car doesn't quite have classic status to many people. ________________________________________ 61k miles Ph.1 Diablo '6 Project Thread |
