I bought 2 of these a while back, as I have 2 engines to build, but have decided that 1 is plenty and when required I'll just swap the sumps over instead!

The kit comprises-

A sump and slim jim pump, both of these are apparently used, but the pump was rebuilt with new rotors and bearings so effectively only the casing is used, and if the sump has been used before then I can't tell... both look and feel like brand new to me.

Everything else is new- Pulleys, all tubes, connection pieces, hose clips, drive belt (plus 1 spare), block inlet adaptor etc etc. Everything you need to fit to the engine.

Pump is fitted with -12 fittings from memory, will double check that but if not -12 then -10.

On top of the above you will also need a tank, and all your hoses and fttings. Check out Torques store on ebay for very competitively priced hoses and fittings, and also Think Automotive are a bit more expensive but are also the real deal hoses and fittings as used by F1 etc,and are very helpful to boot.

Check here for a fitting guide- http://www.canong3.co.uk/pug/mi16pacedrysump.pdf

£1000 for the kit+ £20 delivery

Pass, I'm sure Welshpug will be able to comment! The same sump is used for alloy and iron Mi16 engines as far as I am aware so it should fit.

pace don't list a gti6 kit, specifically only an alloy block kit.

crank pulley differs from gti6 to the older MI's, they have a hub with a bolt on aux pulley, you need to check the pace pulley is compatible with which type.

i knew the sumps were interchangeable but wasn't sure how the aux pulley system would work.

there are a few people who would be interested on 205gtidrivers forum Pete, they were trying to get a group buy going last month Thumbs up

Doesn't affect the auxiliary pulleys at all. The drive belt pully bolts on after the crank pulley.

I have another one of these kits for sale now, exactly the same as this one and the description on the first post. No tank available though so you will need to source one of these yourself, loads available on ebay, or from Pace, Think Auto, AH Fabrications, Allisport etc etc google is your friend!

Does this mean you can run the engine lower in the bay Pete?

Yes I believe engine can be mounted lower hence lowering centre of gravity.

Also, under high cornering forces with a normal wet sump, oil can be forced to one side in the sump, which can cause the oil pickup pipe to temporarily be uncovered resulting in a loss of oil pressure. No such problems with a dry sump system.

You can't go much lower due to the driveshafts.

Yep, as Allan said the driveshafts get in the way to go lower as it is. You would have to rotate the engine so it sits straight and make a custom subframe to get the engine and box any lower, pretty much as they did in the 405 supertourers.

Great kit as i run one on my 206 with the GTI6 supercharged engine as was getting oil surge problems once i got decent slicks, mine was listed for the MI16 engine and all i had to do was order a different crank pulley that was cheap from them..... and you can not drop the engine any lower as you are correct the drive shaft don't line up correctly....
