After almost 4 years since my last log in.....I return....

Long time no speaky boys. Only a couple of user names I recognise. Carl aka mechrepairs.... Are justinaccurate and rolandrat still here amongst others???

Well, I've kinda been a busy man. Still have the Mondeo as per the avatar but have been busy building a beach buggy...

Started out as a rusty beetle chassis.....turned into this...

That kept me busy until June 2013 when it got MOTd and was road legal!!! I decided a 1600 VW engine wasn't enough so I rebuilt a properly filthy Chevy Corvair engine (aircooled flat 6 boxer engine) which is much much better!

From this.....

To, eventually, this.....

So that's where I've been. And now I'm back. Hankering after a very nice red or white rallye......

Anyone here who still remembers me?!

What do I use it for?

Wafting about in the sun, generally being daddy cool, especially when I do the school pick up run.

Its a second car/toy type car really. But is fantastic to drive, especially with the new engine and actually, is a bit of an escape and relax type of thing.....gets so many looks. A 5 minute drive to Morrison's always turns into a 20 minute chat with someone!

At the minute, it'll do between 95-100 on the clock without too much issue on the old private runway...

Short ratio gearbox though, have a better one to go in

    Hello mate, been a while!!

Yeah, doesn't seem that too many of the names I remember are still here, there are a few!

The buggy is nice, great summer toy.....won't really be much use in the winter, hence the want for a Rallye!!

I remember you, and pretty sure I have met you a handful of times at the old midlands meets (on the rare occasion they happened)
