Ok so cars all stripped caged and looking great
Fitted a pas delete kit and radiator
it has just had a full service
Ticks over ok
Accelerates well with standard ecu and super chipped ecu I purchased from a friend
Problem is it bogs down with light throttle
Checked ngk standard plugs and gap tried .7 and .8 no difference
Swapped plugs in case I had a faulty one with another brand which look like Bosch triple electrode units no difference
Extremely frustrated had the car since January just finished it and now running issues :-(
Any help would be appreciated please

I've had this on a couple of 306s, it tends to be:

ICV problem when rolling in gear and giving little/no throttle
TPS causing bogging down on part throttle
CTS causing bogging down until the car warms up

Does the problem go away when it gets warm?

Ahh sorry, right the ICV is the idle control valve, on the back of the manifol near the throttle body, has its own air pipe going to it.

The TPS is the throttle position sensor, that is on the bottom of the throttle body.

The CTS is the coolant temperature sensor, it is the green one on the thermostat housing.

I'd be surprised if any of the sensors from your HDi would work. If you don't want to go out buying random sensors try to see if someone local has spares or known working ones they don't mind you trying out perhaps?

bogs down with standard and superchip ecu
just changed huge airfilter back to the original BCA cold air box
it's terrible when cold bogs down bad but better when warm
accelerates like there is nothing wrong

Faulty coolant temp sensor can make the car run too lean when cold, then when the car warms up the fuelling is correct so it doesn't bog down.

Or, a faulty TPS can also make it run a bit lean, which would show itself more when it is cold than when it is up to running temperature.

Have you tried swapping or testing either of those sensors? Think the CTS is relatively cheap, not sure how much a TPS is.

car was that bad when cold this morning at 5.30am I turned round and just managed to get it back home :-(
really bogs down bad when cold
anyone have a gti6 in Bristol ?
or I may buy a multimeter tonight at Maplin
test a few sensors
but which ones first?

The CTS you have to remove and immerse it in fluid of a given temperature.
For the cheap price that they are I'd just get another one as it seems temperature related.

ICV can be tested with a multimeter easily enough.

I think the car will run but slightly lean without the TPS plugged in.

can I unplug the cts and see if it drives better?
same with any other sensors?
if no difference then it's not that sensor?
worth a try I guess

I think the CTS is cheap enough from a peugeot dealership. 18-20pounds if I remember correctly.

I think unplugging the CTS would allow the problem to continue even if it was broken, as if it is the CTS, the problem is that it isn't telling the ECU to richen the mixture when it is cold.

Try to see if anyone local is willing to let you swap their spare sensors on briefly to see if it makes a difference so you know which to buy? Seems like the cheapest option.

Unplugging the CTS defaults the coolant value to -40 so will make the car run as rich as hell.

You can bridge the plug normally runs well when warm

Check the air temp sensor behind the throtle body is correctly plugged in

just tried buying coolant temperature sensor
peugeot could not offer me a green plug item it was blue or brown
I'll try post up a pic

Blue is just the gauge. Brown is for twin-cooling fans.
Try elsewhere online, like eurocarparts/CP4L or even ebay if you do want one.

CAR IS BOGGING DOWN WHEN WARM TOO
I AM TOTALLY LOST
UNLESS I DRIVE IT HARD AND IT ACCELERATES GREAT AFTER CLEARING THE BOGGING DOWN WITH A REV OR TWO
