I presume the 406 Brembos are a direct fit on the Rallye/6 without any adapters and the need for bigger discs??TT |

you need a C5/Xantia 288x28mm disc, and the right hoses, but no adapters.and the right wheels. ________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |

Thats good to know.I'd be using them on spaced 17" Superleggeras so clearance shouldn't be an issue!! I'll have a look around for some brakes perhaps!! TT |

If you're not doing much track work, better pads (1144s are good for a daily road car IMO) will suffice. As Chris said, the 406 Brembos are nice but squeal badly if you don't use Tarox G88 discs.________________________________________ Rallye Race Car |

Dont use the 406 brembos with standard discs, they are not central in the caliper and they are not thick enough |

The reason they make so much noise is because of the resonance frequency of the 288mm discs. only way to make sure they never squeal is use G88's as said. I gave up and just went to 330mm setup instead. sooooooooo much better. ________________________________________ Black power baby! Iv had the following brakes406 brembos with xantia v6 discs willwood 4 pots with standard discs hi specs with standard discs tarox 6 pots with 330mm rotors renault brembos with 310 rotors renault brembos with 330 rotors ap racing 4 pots with 315 rotors if you want to keep with cyclones the willwoods are the best, then the 330 renaults but best by far are the ap's they are bloody awsome and out braked everything on track with no fade what so ever to be fair my first ever high boost had standard calipers with ds2500 front and rear with brembo discs up front and tarox discs on the rear, they put up with alot of abuse before fade kicked in |

Is there any 300mm peugeot discs that will fit the 306 with 407 brembos? Sure I read somewhere someone was running 300mm discs with 406 brembos under 15s. May be mistaken tho________________________________________ Clicky: click here remove the space between [url & = |

I think Ash used to do a bracket and a 310mm rotor, not sure they'd have been under a 15" though.________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |

i have been thinking about getting some 283x28 belled rotors made up to use with my AP Racing CP5200 calipers. they fit nicely behind a 15" 1.2 and with a 20mm spacer you may get away with cyclones ________________________________________ 306 2.1 S16 Tarmac Rally CarProject thread: http://www.306gti6.com/forum/showthread.php?id=143956 |

So, seeing as I'm just a noob in the Pug tuning scene, could anyone spoonfeed me with info on brake upgrades?Seeing as I'm using 17" wheels, rotor size shouldn't be an issue. Can anyone elaborate on what 330mm conversions are out there and what combination of calipers and rotors to use (if they are not from the same vehicle) TT |
