I have these which do the trick.Plus they work well on the brake calipers for pushing the piston back. http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_232619_langId_-1_categoryId_255216 ________________________________________ ***Breaking*** Ph3 Silver GTI 6 High Boost |

I find this tool to be the easiest to use as you can tighten it right up even with limited space and it clamps the filter nicely when tight, also capable of removing a large range of sizes.A bit pricey, but it works well. Also, what the others said, go from the bottom....if you're doing an oil change you need to be under the car to remove the sump plug anyway... ________________________________________ 61k miles Ph.1 Diablo '6 Project Thread |

I used to use a socket strap when i did such things, however my advice now would be pay someone else to do it.http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/like/231090131328?hlpht=true&ops=true&viphx=1&lpid=95&device=c&adtype=pla&crdt=0&ff3=1&ff11=ICEP3.0.0&ff12=67&ff13=80&ff14=95&ff19=0 |

I use one of these on my gti6's and go in from the top. Usually end up with a few small cuts on my wrists from the radiator but that's how i roll. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3-LEG-2-WAY-OIL-FUEL-FILTER-WRENCH-63-102MM-DUAL-DRIVE-REMOVAL-TOOL-REMOVER-/360848379360?pt=UK_Hand_Tools_Equipment&hash=item54043d4de0 ________________________________________ Goldie the track car. |
